Wow, I was not a JSS fan whatsoever (sorry JSS), but Arnel - ugghh. The accent is thick still, it all sounds very unexciting me - and didn't he fuck up the first minute or so of lyrics for Rubicon?

Rick - I AM giving him and them a break. I haven't cursed ANY of the band members out yet, have I? :lol:
But 4 songs in and its not become enjoyable yet. By the way, I said the same thing about Augeri and Stone In Love.
He couldn't rock it either.

Arnel, get the fking high notes!!!!!!!! Ask The Lonely sounds good, but here comes the chorus....

damn he sounds GREAT when he's on...but forget about the high notes, he can't sing them softly, my concerns have been validated. He's a belter, not a smooth flowing "back in the throat" falsetto like Perry had.

Horribly...unimpressed. No way could he do this several times a week. He's going to blow his chords!!!!

He couldn't quite get that high note on "Lone-lone-lonely". Otherwise he sounds great. The band as a whole is awesome

I'm going to try and be nice...and not judge too much as yet.

But one thing strikes me instantly - there doesn't seem to be the depth of range that I saw with JSS and Augeri - especially JSS. So far all I can here is Arnel going high or higher. The warmth doesn't seem to be there.

He's hitting some notes well though.
