He needs to slow down and settle himself. He seems out of breath at times. That is what is making him strain. He needs to sing at a medium level, and let the PA carry his voice. He is pushing when the crowd gets loud too. That kind of command of voice level will come.

Overall, whether you dig it or not, Arnel is the guy. I actually like it.

True,the pressure must be tremendous.

Black screen,no sound,and 3:40AM.SHIT.

I'm sure it will all be on YouTube.

It's baaaack! :D Dunno for how long,tho...
Ask The Lonely...I like it.He sounds pretty damn good for his very first show.

Quoi? Baby girl.. I, with love, disagreeeeeeeee. Timing is off (he sounds slower than he needs to be), and the vocals are straining on the higher notes. Annunciation, too, seems to be more of an issue. For his first concert, it should have been crystal. Perhaps working a large stage is harder for him, if he's used to small clubs, there's no room to run about. Running and singing at the same time is a bitch...

Wheels in the Sky... meh. Oh well.

Neal's playing spot on.

Honey,no one is crystal on a first gig of this magnitude. The voice reacts to the emotions, trust me.Arnel is peeing himself, but he does a great job in not showing it.Just a slight hesitation in the voice but that will pass...

He's already more confident on "Lights"...Just listen.
By the time the tour hits the US he'll be flawless.

p.s.~ Can I still party with you in August?  You're the beyotch that I love. 8)

What I'm happiest about is that he's not trying to clone Perry. He's doing it his way pretty much.

Nice of Cain to trot out the same solo we've heard for the past 10 years. Also what's with the jacket? He looks like the owner of a funeral parlor.
Cain is the embodiment of everything wrong with Journey right now.
Flacid, musty.....just tired.

be easy on him people. it's his first show. awe... what a cutie. his voice sounds a little strained and at times it does sound like he's yelling more than singing. hopefully he doesn't hurt his voice. it's his first show though. jss had issues as well when he first joined journey. i worried about him blowing out his voice too.

oh man... things are getting better... only the young. }:C)) sounds fantastic! go arnel go! }=C)
