Now I know why Saint Louis got cancelled. He probably got wasted when he realized he would be playing Sammy-town in a few days.

LOL! Wild!!! Do you think that's true?

Why does everyone on this board want Jeff to be in every band except his own? Why can't Jeff just stay in a solo artist and rule the day?

Yes and why does Jeff do so man fricking cover songs instead of his own tunes at his shows? Come on Jeff!!!!!!!!! And no Journey either.

The only thing shocking about this is that it didn't happen sooner!

That would be incredible. Get MA back and put Jeff out front. Damn that would be a great lineup.

JSS would be awesome in that band.

Hell yeah!

Then again, I'd see JSS if he was fronting anything and everything! :)

Am I the only person on this board who is in panic mode about the possible final chapter of Van Halen coming to an end? I'm pissed off and heartbroken at the same time.

Is there any news about why it's been postponed?

Officially? No.

Sources say it is Edward being Edward again, and hitting the bottle again. Legal shit involving Wolfie, too. And Dave is so PO'd he can't see straight.

Dude, that sucks. Eddie was doing so well too. Maybe he'll pull it together again.

Is there too much animosity to get MA back?

No animosity on Mikey's part.

But Wolfie was the spark Edward needed...

Yeah, I can see being excited about having your kid in your band, but if that's all he's in it for, then that's not enough.

They need to bring back Mike and do a record with DLR.

I guess people like Eddie just can't grow up...maybe he should start a band with George Lynch. There won't be anyone else in the band because no one wants to work with them.

They'd beat the shit out of one another over who got to solo.

Throw the four hundred pound "Sausage Fingers" Malmsteen in there and you'd have a Steel Cage match.

Hi 7 wishes. I think no one is getting all that upset YET, because there are still tickets for sale, and for concerts that are coming up pretty soon. It will truly be one of the worst days in Rock & Roll if VH calls it quits now.

Malmsteen's lost a lot of weight from what I've seen and heard.

No kidding? That's good. He looked like John Goodman with poodle hair the last time I saw him, back in '04. We were all amazed he was still a speed demon with those gigantic sausage fingers.

Doesn't matter regardless. I'm not small man myself and probably easily outweigh the guy at this point.

Of course it doesn't matter. It IS funny when guys who were scrawny in the 80's (Mike Reno, Malmsteen, Billy Joel) disappear for a while and then come back 150 pounds heavier.

Speaking of Malmsteen, I've always loved this song from his "Odyssey" album...

"Heaven Tonight" is my favorite Malmsteen track - I think it was his biggest hit as well.

I've actually sung this a few times -- I have an instrumental of it. Great song!

Instrumentally, yes, but I prefer "Odyssey" overall because of the combination of Yngwie and Joe Lynn Turner. Great duo there, in my opinion.

There is a great DVD that I just got with both.

In case you haven't checked it out...

Yngwie Malmsteen Far Beyond the Sun
Rising Force: Live in Japan '85 with Jeff Scott Soto and Trial By Fire: Live in Leningrad '89 with Joe Lynn Turner

The only bad thing about that DVD is that they cut out 3-4 songs from each set.... other than that, a great DVD, I highly recommend.

Odyssey is one of the best hard rock releases, ever!!!
