Mr. Pineda has given titanic performances on "Faithfully", but I'll be quite honest with you: I've been playing the concert on my computer in a continuous loop, and after the first watch, I've been skipping over "Faithfully", "Open Arms", "Any Way You Want It", and (recently) DSB. They are the most popular Journey songs, played to death, and Youtube's been circulating dozens upon dozens of Arnel (with the Zoo) and Arnel (with Journey) singing "Faithfully" and ect. At this point, Steve Perry himself could sing the song in my living room and I'd kindly ask him to shut the hell up. Great songs, but I'm getting bored with them.

I hear what your saying, but did you listen to the clip? Actually, I wish the video was better because there are moments where it doesn't sound like Arnel, but somebody else whose name I dare not mention. Also, this is not from the Vina shows, so it shows how he is progressing on the tour.

I agree, Faithfully I don't skip, but I usually skip Open Arms and DSB. Not because i don't like them, just heard them too much. And have to say, the last friggin thing I'd do if SP was singing in my living room is tell him to shut the hell up. Hell, I'd probably hand him the phonebook to sing.

Perhaps offering Mr. Perry and alternative would be the wiser choice on my part. But still. DSB, OA, and Faithfully are classics and nothing will change that, nor will they ever be excluded from the setlist. I just hope they're buried in the new setlist. Deep. Really deep. Gotti-deep.

I've heard Arnel sing "Faithfully" enough to know that he can definitely pull off that particular song. That said, that link didn't just offer horrendous video quality...The audio was every bit as bad! That was DREADFUL!

You're right, but did you hear how monstrous the vocals were? Hopefully something better surfaces, But I can tell even from this poor clip that he gave a better performance on this song than at Vina.

Can't say that I did. The audio sounded worse than shit! That doesn't mean Arnel didn't sound great. That just wasn't the clip to illustrate it.
