wtf? It takes 7 guys (in your Frontiers pic) to cover Journey?

I have no idea what your post means, but whatever.

You changed the picture, but you had a picture of the cover band "Frontiers" that had 7 band members in it! That's 2 more than Journey has, I was just wondering why it takes so many band members to cover Journey?

Because Journey were the greatest and therefore 4 tribute guys is not adequate to cover the Journey...neither is 7.

The pic is old and shows 2 keyboard players that would sometimes rotate gigs. They do not play with 7 on stage.

And who gives a shit if they did!!! They cover Journey. Who cares if they do so with 5, 7 or 70? I'm lost as to what your point is, Texafana? :?

I was just clarifying the fact that the pic. is old and they do not play with 7.

Yes, they are cover/tribute band and they do a hell of a job.

I have the DVD of the show in Chile.

I've probably gone over it with a fine tooth comb, five, six, maybe seven times. I can say this. The band is tight...they sound good, as a band. Arnel will get better with time...but I can't get past the broken english...and the bad accent....or...at the risk of a pun...the "bad english" and the broken accent..(ha..it was there). I almost want to say he's trying too hard....or maybe he has to try that hard to hold those notes. There are points in this where I think he directly channeled Perry.....some points anyway...but there's points, like when he's holding long notes (end of Seperate Ways, during Stone in Love, etc) that I think he's just working a bit too hard to NOT be accomplishing it.

And is it just me, or do the members of the band look like they're in PAIN listening to him? Ross looks bored, Neal looks like he's going "ouch" every time Pineda struggles.. and Cain looks like he's just wincing at every note....

Now I give them credit...and I've stated publicly that I was, at least in part, wrong about Pineda. But it'll take a little more than a semi-coherent performance of "ask the lonlely" with "with in with oup me" - to make me a fan of the band again..

I didn't see any of that to be honest.

Many people here seem to love him, but I am still not all that impressed. We'll see, I guess.

I have to say that if Journey is really releasing this as a DVD, the guys who run Journey are MORONS! I've never thought the guys running Journey were business savants, but this is just silly! For ANYONE to seriously believe that the first time these guys perform together should become a concert is fucking absurd! I can't believe that Neal is truly that stupid! If they want to make a concert DVD, fine. At least let this guy get his legs under him, first! No guy's first performance with a band should even be recorded and uploaded to youtube, let alone released to the paying public!

This DVD is from the TV broadcast of the show and not a professional release.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't think even the guys in Journey could be quite that moronic!
