I Want To Hear Arnel Sing....

Postby Stoneyman » Tue Feb 26, 2008 7:48 am

Who's Crying Now

That song has the most soulful Perry vocals (IMO). Plus a lot of the vocals are out front with a kind of spoken quality. That would test the pronunciation for sure. That and IBAWY. Jeff knocked that one out of the park IMO. No youtubes of these from Santiago?

Vegas should be the real test. Counting down..... :?

I'll Be Alright Without You and After the Fall should be in every Journey set. No exceptions.

Who's Cryin' Now is NOT that difficult of a Journey song by any means...

Although, maybe ya just like it.

I'd like to hear him sing Where Were You? THAT is a difficult song.

Hey Neal, if you read this, count this as a request for "Precious Time" in concert sometime.

That's one of my top favorites... amazing song and great lyrics. I know you guys can play it, whip it out sometime and you'll thrill all.

Yes sir. Got tired of putting various prog/MR musicians and album covers up there and decided I'd treat everyone to my mug. Haha.

Love that tune and had the pleasure of seeing the band do it with Rollie and Perry.

I'd love to see it. Don't forget that Neal actually had alot of vocals in that song, and Neal isn't a bad vocalist at all.

That's the song where I heard Perry and went "DAMN".

JSS killed that song the 3 shows they did in South Florida last tour, possibly the best song of the set.
He should heep that one on his solo gigs.

Lay It Down and Mother Father are probably the hardest to sing, imo.

People and Places would be a great song to hear... the little bit they did of it on the Generations tour was really cool. Definitely pining to see that one live. One of the most unique Journey songs in the catalogue after the fusion experiment was over (ie after Perry joined)

not a big fan of the harmonica, Cain looked weird on stage playing that last time I saw them live.
he never looks confident playing the guitar either although he must be pretty good at this point.

still wish they'd do an unplugged

Well he's such a nerd that he looks geeky and awkward doing anything but playing the keys.

Let's see 'em break out some of these:

Winds Of March
Sweet And Simple
Something To Hide
Troubled Child
The Place In Your Heart

...and see how they sound.

Is it true that "Troubled Child," "Sweet and Simple," and "Somethin' to Hide" have ALL never been done live by Journey?

Something To Hide has been done. Deen sang it. I don't believe the other two have, though.

Sorry, had to do it.
