Here's a great Marketing/Publicity Idea for the Band

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Thu Feb 28, 2008 5:51 am

While shopping online for new car prices,
I came across this new "crossover" model
coming out soon...

The 2009 Dodge Journey
Image

What a thought!
Team up with Dodge for the upcoming tour!
Get some NEW Music in commercials!
Add shots of the band performing in the commercials!
Hell, show all the cool options and storage space available
by showing a group of crazed fans going to a Journey Concert!

Have Journey design a Limited Edition model
with some cool, suble Journey graphics incorporated
and a kick-ass sound system!
Give a few away at select shows!
Auction off a Custom Painted model kinda in the
vein of what they did with the bike last time around...

Why not???
These guys are putting in the effort to record a new album
with a new singer that is supposedly their singer
"for the new millenium"... Go out there and PROMOTE IT!!!

Wow! This is a great idea!

I like the idea of the limited edition - this would give the band unbelievable promotion. Hell, the name "Journey" is even on a NASCAR car - could tie in with that, too!

They'd only want Perry tunes that peeps are familiar with...
Isn't weird how car companies took Frontiers and called a car Frontier and practically used the same font as the album? There's an Escape too. Surprised they didnt' use 35c4p3 for the lettering on it...

Does the band wear 'Journey' diamond jewelry?
There was a thread not long ago in with AlienC replied about trademarking.

The idea is good and logical, so that means it has no prayer of a chance in the Journey camp. :)

I thought it would be one of those "Mind Eraser" things that was used in MEN IN BLACK to erase peoples memory's. In this case, it would be used for us fans to forget about the Perry years and except any lead singer who is in the band.. this case being Arnel. It would be used before every concert until they traveled the globe and covered every Journey fan with a slight memory from the 70's and 80's.

(This is where we would need someones kick ass photo shop skills to photo shop the heads of Neal and Caine for these two!)

And instead of "Men in Black" , they would be called the "Men in BACK"!

Backing up rock and roll, one lead singer at a time.........

Ford's limited edition "Trial By Fire" was actually built in the 70's, so Journey cannot claim copyright infringement.

It was later renamed the "Pinto".
