How'd you get 9 re-installed? I want 11 gone and 10 back...but can't see to get that done. 11 sucks.

I did the same (except mine reverted back to 10) - but then I discovered I'd lost my licenses for my purchased music and no way to retrieve them - so I had to 'upgrade' to 11 again. Agree that WMP11 sucks.

Uninstall it from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. It'll roll it back to 10.

I use Windows Media Player 10 for videos

Winamp for Audio

MusicMatch Jukebox Plus 10 for Ripping CD's into the PC

Nero for burning.

Can someone please explain to me what Bit Torrents are and how they work?

I do not currently have any way of downloading the video from the Journey show from last week, and it appears to me that I need to use some bit torrent software to download it?

My version of XO doesn't have 10 as it's base player - it has 11 and says 10 is not compatible :(

Yessir. I use uTorrent. You can get it at www.utorrent.com, and it's free. Other people use a program called Bittorrent, but I'm not familiar with that one.

After uTorrent is installed, then navigate to the post with the link to the show and it will take you to a page where you'll click on a link that says "Download this torrent!" When that link is clicked, depending on what web browser you're using, you'll get the option to Open with uTorrent, or Save to Disk. You'll want to select to open with uTorrent. uTorrent will open a window asking where you want to save it and give you some specs on it and you click Ok, and the download will begin. It's a lot easier than people make it out to be.

I hope this helps.

Andrew, there's another procedure to uninstall Windows Media Player. Go to Add/Remove programs, then click on Add/Remove Windows Components on the left column. In the resulting window, scroll down toward the bottom and you'll see Windows Media Player. Uncheck that and select Next. Get WMP uninstalled, then click the link below to download version 10.

Thanks!

I read that something called Bittornado is supposed to be really good, but I don't really know anything about any of those things.

Since Microsoft will usually only let you get their latest, I use this site for the older stuff. There's older versions of a lot of stuff, Winamp, etc.

I am quite liking the new kid on the block, Kantaris. It looks sweet and plays everything with no need to install any funky codecs.

VLC plays my entire porn collection, even the files that have gone through Siberia 8)
It also plays music pretty well.

Cowan JET AUDIO is great for playing audio and video and doesn't hog memory. DVDFAB HD Decrypter for ripping movies and Nero( the most stable burning software around) is best for burning just about anything.
