Journey is Back! Prediction...

Postby psidrum » Sun Mar 02, 2008 10:17 am

I have been browsing online on what "regular/casual" people had to say bout the new leader singer of Journey and its pretty surprising. A lot of the casual fans have stopped following the band when Perry left. But then after getting the news about AP and hearing him sing. A lot of people are suddenly saying "im goin to get their CD when it comes out" Whoa!

Is it wrong that I got all school-girl giddy at just the thought of Journey coming back before I even listened to the videos ?
He's not bad at all, can't wait for the cd/tour. "

The guy does a great Doors cover, and the Who...really impressive actually, I'm looking forward to the tour. "

What a Journey it will be. I never knew this group was still alive."

Damn, you know what, I saw Journey 4 or 5 times during the 80's on tour, and if they come around with that kid, I'll buy tix."

stage presence kind of sucks but the vocals are great. He is a good match.

Journey was the one 80s band I loved but never got to see. I might drop some change if they come around with him."

Pretty good. I'd go see 'em."

Journey is Reborn!

Everyone seem to be excited with the new lead singer.

I predict a lot of sales for their upcoming album.

You are spamming the boards, and this a move of desperation. You don't need to advertise and spam us with this garbage. Andrew will be on to you shortly I'm sure.

My take is that they will sell a ton of tickets first go around, then if they tour again, bad sales at the least. I just don't feel that AP is the fit that a hard core Journey fan is looking for.

I don't think I'd call any of the people in your subscriptions "regular" or "casual".

some more reborn Journey fans

"Comment by steve at 29 Feb 2008 21:24
-For the first time in years I can't wait for a new journey album to come out. The thing about journey was that it wasn't just the music that people listened to it was hearing steve perry sing to it. I feel that way again I want to hear arnel pineda sing to the music journey makes. I've never felt that way with the other post perry singers except this guy, he's awesome. "

"Comment by FatherRock at 21 Jan 2008 4:52
-Ok, change is a constant and Arnel is proof. Go with the flow. The fact that he is 40 years old is proof that he has been singing a long time. If Schon thought he is good enough, then let it be. Besides, I have been a Journey fan since DAY 1 and can't wait for the new material. "

"Comment by NJ at 12 Dec 2007 5:59
-Arnel is very talented and the voice range is impeccable. He is no Steve Perry but you can’t deny he can hit every note Steve was known for. I’ll give the guy a change & look’n forward to see their new album. "

I don't think they are focused on the "hardcore" fans. Because "hardcore" fans are few. Journey wants to access the "lost" fan base that they had a while back, and i think they are succeeding.

You see that is not true. Without the masses of hardcore fans, Journey would not be selling tickets. They are not a new band as you believe they are, your rantings and posts on this board led me to believe you are not a Journey fan, but an Arnel Pineda promoter, and frankly not one person on this forum agree's with anything you have to say, rather we all agree your doing a good job of pissing everyone off.
