If so, what has you sold/excited/hyped on the album... or are you like me and buy anything with the Journey logo on it?

If not... why?

Abso-fucking-lutly I'm going to be dishing out the cash for this album. Why? Well, easy, there's something I like doing called rocking out, and damn did I get teased with the new material Sat. night. BRING ON REVELATIONS BITCCCHES

After Saturdays show, FUCKEN RIGHT I WILL. I'll be waiting like Madden '09. Great Lyrics , hooks, melodies etc. Two of the songs was fantastic. What a fucking show. WEW! I'm still horse. Just to give everybody a heads up. On the dvd that is not another tapegate with multiple voices being tracked. That was me 7 fucking rows deep.

I can vouch for this. Also in the event anyone thought they heard Johnny Cash walking around Vegas, no no... 'twas T-Time.
And T, our Boyz II Men preshow last night was probably pretty amazing. Did you see the look on everyone's face? They loved it.

Oh, by the way, could you lay down again so I can get that on tape? Hehehe... *Captain Morgan poses*

It's really gonna be called, "Revelations"?! I don't think that's a good title. I don't know if I'd buy the whole thing, maybe that one ballad off iTunes, but definitely not if they package it with re-recorded GH (touch not thine annointed!).

Maybe. I liked the new songs, but it'll probably all depend on the cost (double album, more money) and if the WalMart deal happens. I don't support that store at all. =/

If the artwork that was on the screen is the official artwork, though, I'll probably buy it for that. lol

My answer is YES, although Caveat venditor I am not happy with it only being sold via Wal-Mart. All the WMs in my general area are dirty and generally unorganized, very unpleasant to be in. The prospect of the live DVD and POSSAIBLE cd with new version of older songs is enough to make me forget the general disdain I have for WM to go and purchase it.

I like what I heard and saw via the YouTube clips, a lot more then the radio B-cast from South America.
Oww. My aching tentacles.

Well, I was one who said I would not buy a new album. Actually I was never going to attend another concert, and originally was only going to Vegas to hang with friends and planned to skip the concert. Gayle had 2 extra tickets and was out the money, so Melissa and I decided we would buy them from her and check it out. Melissa and I are huge JSS fans and had never planned to see Journey live again, as we still are not happy with how they handled that whole situation.

Anyway, we attended the concert, fully expecting it would just not be the same for us. And to be honest, the first song or two, it was hard to get over that JSS was not on that stage. But we wanted to give Arnel a fair shot. How can you not root for that guy. He is having a blast on that stage. His interactions with the crowd have improved 100%. He is definitely much more comfortable up there than he was his first show. As far as I'm concerned, he nailed it. With some problems here or there we saw with the Chile performance I was not expecting to see the show I did on Sat. night. It was GREAT. He has an incredible voice and I am so glad we gave ourselves the opportunity to give him a chance live. It was really cool to get to hear the 3 new songs. I LOVED the first one, a ballad and the second song was great too. Very classic Journey sound. The 3rd I wasn't crazy about, but maybe it will grow on me.

So the answer is yes, from someone who last week would have had a definite NO. If these 3 songs are an indication of what the rest will sound like, I don't think many Journey fans will be disappointed.

I doubt I buy it, the last two full length cds were bland in my opinion. They also did not sound like Journey to me. In most cases (99.9% of the time) when a band loses it there is no turning it around.

I will absolutely buy it, but I'm not planning on seeing a show this year- nothing against Arnel, but I'm tired of basically nothing but the dirty dozen and they probably won't play any new stuff.

I will have to pass..... I will not spend a penny on Journey.... Im sure they will be just fine without me on the fan-wagon :) I wish Arnel the best of luck though. He didnt do anything wrong , so he doesnt deserve any shit . If they make good songs, I will probably download them, but without paying for it! 8)

I'm on the fence. Waiting for iTunes versions to sample the studio recordings of the songs. The whole BGTY knock off has me perturbed and I don't want bad you tube versions of other new songs to sway me more negative. Trying to be fair here.

Now that I've heard and seen Arnel live, I'll go and see the show when they come around. He's finding his footing on stage and he sounds like the best vocalist they've had since Perry. Does the catalogue justice. Kudos to Neal for finding someone who's talent is finally on par with the rest of the band. Now he just needs to stop rehashing his old material, dig deep and "bleed a little" over new material. Would rather wait longer for great songs than wait less for mediocre ones.

I'm really on the fence about this one.

I don't like what I heard on Youtube from Chile and since SA was jettisoned, I just don't really care for Journey that much anymore.

Maybe I'll come around, but it's not looking very likely sadly.

Of course I'll buy it...just like I've just paid 50 quid for a ticket to the London show. I lost the power of rational choice a long time ago and I'll shell out for any old rubbish this band puts out.
