Just guessing, this "commentator" probably doesn't know a thing about football and sports in general, and has no place to talk about Brett Favre or his retirement.

Figures it was somebody from FOX News channel. Why these no-talent "journalists" have jobs and careers is beyond me. "That's a great message for young boys, get up there and blubber like a baby." If I have a son, and if he grows up to be anything like Brett Favre (well minus painkiller addiction, but who can blame him?) i would be ONE PROUD DAD.

Favre sacrificed his body and played the game that he loved professionally for a LONG time, don't you think the man has the RIGHT to well up a little?

Was Lou Gehrig a "baby" when he gave his emotional speech?

Someone get this dunce off the airwaves, please?

My mistake if she doesn't work for Fox News. The headline that I clicked on for the story said "News Anchor Calls Favre A Woman", so I assumed that she was employed by Fox News. I don't watch Fox News, so wouldn't have a clue who she worked for. In any event, her comments were beyond moronic, even if they were said in jest. I have to tell you from reading the comments, it certainly doesn't have the appearance of someone attempting to be sarcastic! She sounded quite serious.

A little arm chair psycho analysis . this has NOTHING to do with the fact that she works for Fox or is a conservative -

Laura Ingrams issue with farve actually MIGHT reflect her problems with men.
She actually is unmarried and never has been , despite the fact shes not bad looking and extremely intelligent. Most men would want to reproduce with a woman like that !

It MIGHT because she cant relate to men. Maybe its because she expects them to never show weakness , never cry. standards , unrealistic ones. Real men can't live up to these standards (Shit I cry like a river after one f*cking can of Old Milwaukee and a slow hair metal tune- and I am full of testosterone!!)

Shes just transferring her personal issues on to poor Brett Farve.

I could be wrong here of course, and I actually like and agree with Laura I most of the time.

BY as a native Minnesotan and as a Vikings fan, I respect that guy immensely, though I hate his team!

I believe she was engaged once, a relationship that fell apart when she got cancer. Just going off of memory, I haven't heard her show in a long time.

You know Laura was engaged and her fiance dumped her when he found out she had cancer, right?

I think Laura is just from a school of women that don't want to see grown men blubbering like this. She has said repeatedly that she thinks Favre is a great human being, but he went a little overboard.

Also, she is a paid FNC employee and sits in for Bill O'Reilly when he is not there. However, she is a commentator and not a news anchor.

I like Laura. On the drive into LA in the morning, I have a choice between Air America, and blowhard Stephanie Miller who is annoying and full of hot air, or Ingram. Ingram is a conservative, but she is pretty fair and very smart.

Laura Ingram will never be an Anne Coulter.

He has behaved like a woman the way he's waffled on retiring amidst seasons' worth of pick-laden bone headed quarterbacking and held the pack a hostage of his ego for years.

Bah.
Step in this.
MANLY behavior would've been being standup, forthright and telling the Pack right away every year, rather than dragging the shit on through training camps amidst his rapidly regressing play, that he was retiring or not.
The wishy washyness was womanly.

BAH!!! I disagree....I think the "MAN" was behaving like a "HUMAN BEING"!!! I don't think anybody called Michael Jordan a woman for changing his sport from Basketball to Baseball and back again...retiring and not retiring.
Of course I don't remember him crying....that would have made him a woman!!!

I can JUST HEAR the NBA cracks coming now!!! I LOVE THE NBA!!!!!

Jordan didn't play NEARLY as poorly as Favre did for about 5 years (prior to this season).

The Hell he didn't. He looked like a fool his last 4 years. Iverson undressing him with the crossover, MJ falling over himself in Charlotte gear...he did not go out at the top of his game.

Gretzky sure as Hell did. Perry did. Favre did.

If you want to defend players who don't give a shit, go for it.

Watch the Miami Heat not try. Watch the Clippers lose by 30 every night. Watch the Knicks.

Hey, if you "Love this Game" more power to you.

Guys going on the 30 day DL for hang nails, not playing because a bruise on a hand, etc etc. A bunch of pussies.
