Just got the new one from BA ,first 3 songs instantly catchy
1.tonight we have the stars
2.i thought i'd seen everything
3.i aint losing the fight
4.oxygen(so far this song isnt as good as the other 3)
5.We found what we were looking for
6.broken wings
both 5 and 6 are good songs but its pretty obvious this cd is a bit subdued its almost as if this album is all one Big song everything kind of just blends together, not that its a bad thing but i'm used to hearing more diversity in between his songs

7.something to believe in
8.mysterious ways
these 2 are slower ,more moody okay songs ,nothing special

9.she's got away (a little more upbeat but still a very light song)

10.flower grown wild (okay song, catchy but just okay)

This is in no way a rock album, more of a collection of acoustic songs .First three songs showed promise but the rest of this album continues to slow down to almost a halt and i"m a big fan of BA its the kind of cd that you could play in the background at a quiet get together It wont bother you but you wont be turning it up to sing along

Not much different from his last release, if i'm being honest, its forgetable

I've had this since about the 3rd week in february....I've listened to it multiple times, and I just can't say that many of the songs catch my attention - musically, it's great, but it just seems to let me down in what I'd hoped would be a return to form for BA. Go ahead, Deano...flame me...

Amen. The dude comes alive when onstage. The live clips I've seen of Scott playing, completely blow away what I've heard of BA on record.

And dare I say..."Broken Wings" is far too "country-ish" for me...

His past few albums have been odd and even a bit synthy (pads, etc.) in places, but onstage, he definitely rocks. I'm not sure why he doesn't record the songs with the live arrangements.

I agree Steve. This was planned for sometime now. It is supposed to flow like one long song. In fact, the band wasn't supposed to play on it. It was supposed to be BA and his guitar. Nothing wrong with an acoustic album, but I would hope he follows this up with a more heavier CD.

I will say and continue to say, Room Service was great and IMHO, the best melodic album of the last 5 years by anyone.

acoustic album- his unplugged album is one of my favorites. Great album. Room Service didn't thrill me too much, but I like it.

Fuck his review. He isn't God you know. Andrew fucks up a lot. Look at high he rates Toto CD's.....He gave Falling in Between higher marks than Room Service. That is just retarded.

By the way, if you go yo bryanadams.com, he gets it. He lets you preview the entire album with 1:40 second clips. I have no idea why Journey is so secretive.

Why should I go there and listen to 1:40 second clips when I have the whole album already? That short of a clip isn't enough really get a good feel for the songs.

Retarded is having a kick ass band at your disposal and then recording a wet rag of an album filled with sappy shite no one wanted to listen to 10 years ago, let alone actually listen it now.

Toto's FiB album was an absolute testement to the band's energy and spirit of youth after all these years. Bryan's last 3 records have merely served to age him even more. How old is grandpa now Deano?

Time to retire Bryan. Back to the nursing home.

I EXPECTED this album to be great...but it puts me to sleep everytime I listen to it. The only song on there that grabs me is Oxygen....and even THAT'S kinda lackluster. Oh well....I still got my copy of Wakin' Up The Neighbors.

Spot on, Falling In Between has everything, truly outstanding recording. It is one of the most complete CDs of the last 5 years. BA should feel like he's shortchanged us with this latest CD, it is basically yawn-worthy MOR radio rock, especially as mentioned, with the band he has at his disposal and the collaborations he has written in the past. Where's Mr Vallance? Time for a meet? Even Mr Lange might be worth a liaison...needs something though.
