Took me long enough to get this, but I'm on my first listen and it's REALLY good so far. I'll get more detailed when I have a couple of run-throughs...but so far i'd put it up there with Toto IV which is my favorite Toto album. Not bad at all.

Dying on My Feet and King Of The World are my favorites so far. But the album as a whole ROCKS. Lovin' it. Andrew...you were right to hold it in such high regard. The production, the songs, just EVERYTHING...Near perfect on this one.

This is one of my all-time favorite albums, period.

There's just so much on there. It's difficult to categorize nearly anything they do on this album. There's a lot of good, raw music that really makes me "feel" on here. Not to mention, the technical ability of the players and singers are really on display on FiB.

I give this album a 10/10 and recommend it to ANY music fan....

I think that Falling in Between could quite possibly be Toto's best overall album.

How often does it happen that a band releases their best work so late into their career?

I've had this album since it came out and I still spin it in its entirety once a week or so.

And I can see why. It's a GREAT album. Unfortunately....I just got it today...so I have yet to give a full review..but King Of The World is fantastic. I can't get enough of track.

Edit: I didn't expect this type of shit out of Toto. It's AWESOME.

Bottom of your soul + simple life are great songs

No end in sight is very good

The rest of the disc was boring for me, despite the obvious musical talent.They should have had Luke singing more of the songs on this cd.

I love progressive music and this is arguably a pretty proggy effort from Toto. I like the album but I don't think it's as good as advertised. It's a solid effort with a lot of good songs, but for me this album is about middle of the road in the Toto canon (which still makes it very good). The biggest crime of the album was how short Simple Life was. Great production and some ball crunching tones from Luke for sure. I feel like the album had tons of really great musical moments (ex the harmony solo break in Dying on my Feet), but not necessarily songs that were great cohesive songs that I expect from Toto. I got this album and Jim Peterik's Above the Storm around the same time and I really felt like ATS was the stronger effort of the two.

GREAT song too. The only one I could've done without was The Reeferman. 1:45 of boring nonsense. Other than that, this album KILLS IV and most of Toto's other work, IMO. I've never been a HUGE fan...but I'm getting there now because of this album. :-)

I was hooked on Dying On My Feet since South Bend when I got the MRCD4...and now that I've got the whole album....I'm COMPLETELY hooked. It's a fantastic album.

Falling in Between is a great album. Lukather and Schon have long been my favorite guitarists. Very similar melodic sounds.

Speaking of similar, play "Taint Your World" off Falling in Between and then "In Self Defense" off Generations. Who borrowed what from who? Uncanny similarity. Rockers, but can't say either are my faves.

Well, since Self Defense first appeared on the Schon/Hammer album Here to Stay in 1982, I would say Neal came up with it first.

I felt ripped off upon buying this album.
I asked Andrew to reimburse me, and was told to "stick with it."
As when I first bought it, I still contend that there are only a handful of good tracks on here.
In many ways, it reminds me of "Generations."
3-4 great-to-good tracks and the rest is not worthy of the band's name.

"No End in Sight" is a real odd one. Despite it's thoroughly morose lyrical subject matter, the chorus almost sounds uptempo.

This album simply doesn't cut it for me.

"Dying on My Feet" throws in the kitchen sink and more. It's certainly a curious, ambitious piece that holds ur attention, but does it ever really gel as a song?....On that count, I'm not so sure.

"Let it Go" "Hooked" "FIB" "KOW" "BOYS"...all classics.

Guess you're a tough customer. For their fan base, and for those they seemed to cater to on this album, it's arguably one of their best.

Guess you're a tough customer.

If expecting more than a handful of good songs per album makes me a tough customer, than so be it.

"Spiritual Man" builds to a dramatic crescendo trading from Dave to Bobby, and then sputters out with Greg.
"Taint Your World" is good for what it is, catchy yet altogether disposable rock filler.
"Simple Life" is designedly too short to even merit discussion.
As for "No End in Sight", as already stated, it's lyrics involve the death of soldiers, yet inexplicably, it has an uptempo chorus.

This is no different than "Generations".
Another half-assed, slapped-together sonic grab bag - with precious few gems to be found amongst the shit.
