Shame that we weren't graced with more of his great guitar playing.

My favorite guitarist ever. To me, the greatest. He was so great at such a young age I can't even imagine what it would have been like to see a 50 year old Randy Rhoads today jam with a dude like Neal. My 2 favorite guitarists by a mile.

One of the few moments in my life that I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing was when I heard the news Randy had been killed.

I remember reading somewhere that he could rip off a blazing solo, totally off the cuff, and then perfectly double it later on from memory. Outstanding player.

It is a shame when such talent leaves this world too soon.

RIP Randy - The music lives on.

We were on our way to school in the morning riding on that bus that looks like a slinky, we call it the welfare train. At any rate, all the kids were talking about it. Rumors were flying though that morning on our way to the school. I recall some kids saying that Ozzy himself was flying the plane and that Randy was actually in the bus at the time. You know how high school kids are with rumors and whatnot. Other rumors had it that both Randy and Ozzy were in the plane at the time. I think I heard twenty different versions of the event in that 45 minute ride to school that morning. I personally had no idea who Randy was at that time because it wasn't music I listened to. I was still hung up on the Beatles and KYA Golden Oldies station. I only started to learn about Randy after leaving the U.S. and getting involved in music in Japan and the Philippines.

Randy was an amazing player, and a very "real" guy, from what I've always heard...never had the pleasure of meeting him myself.

Still a pleasure to listen to his work...RIP.

"Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman" are two of the best metal/hard rock albums of all time, and Rhoads was a big reason for that.
R.I.P. Randy!
