I know, I'm just jackin' with the dude. However, when it comes to guys there is no such thing as bi. You're either packing fudge or you're not.

I guess I didn't realize people here were so small (and so small minded).

You don't like REM? No worries.

But the random hatred just because of Michael Stipe's sexuality... grow a sack and quit worrying that maybe somewhere deep down in your brain you want him....

REM (although maybe an aquired taste) has dropped some great music, and it had nothing to do with whether or not their lead singer was gay.

Go ahead and insult me with your "you are gay" bullshit. I am not. I am married. I love women. I think REM has some great songs.

Grow up.

I thought he came out of the closet back in the 90s? :?

He did. He's been out a long time. I think it was mentioned in the behind the music.

I was wondering why this thread is allowed to go unmoderated. I guess cuz it has nothing to do with Arnel.

Exactly..and usually when people defend this stuff the only thing others know to do is to accuse them of being gay too.

First off..as if this was ever a surprise..and who cares?! Is it affefting your life?

I don't hate anyone, but I don't have to approve of their lifestyle. It's the way I was raised, and probably the way a lot of people were raised. You can't expect people to change who they are any more than I can expect you to. It's not narrow minded, it's a belief system that people have ingrained in their core. You have your beliefs, I have mine and we can leave it at that.

I don't give a shit what lifestyle Stipe embraced, I do like at least one of REM's songs. I like a whole lot of music by Queen, and other artists that live alternate lifestyles. Does not affect my life one bit. I don't have to agree with their choices though. That's just life, no?

You didn't know Halford was gay? Seriously? He came out on MTV about 10-11 years ago.

I could give a shit if he's gay. He's an asshole AND a shitty, whiny singer to boot. I can't stand him or his band. I remember Rolling Stone going on and on about how great they were. They're incredibly dull and they're one of those bands that people try to squeeze into the 'intellectual' box because they were so 'college' and 'cutting edge'. There was nothing cutting edge about them.
A revelation that Stipe is gay is no revelation at all.
