I forgot all about this...put out a cover show and didn't even include them! How shameful!
How many people have heard of the "Northern Kings". They did a cover album recently called "Reborn" - they cover just about everything you could think of from Mr. Mister, to Journey, to Genesis and Peter Gabriel, to Tina Turner. Here's a well placed, copy-paste of the track listing... It's almost like Meat Loaf became the new singer from Queensryche, and they started playing Covers in the style of Iron Maiden.
The group is not an ordinary band, but a league of four vocalists, who are all frontmen of successful heavy metal bands (Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto - Charon, Marco Hietala - Nightwish, Tony Kakko - Sonata Arctica, Jarkko Ahola - Teräsbetoni). They wanted to create something special together and came up with an idea of arranging 80's classics to metal versions - to which all the four vocalists could contribute.
