Fair enough, however, there are always some exceptions to the rule.

The Seattle Conspiracy was indeed questionable, but the US Men's Basketball team getting jobbed by the Russians in the Olympics was an absolute con job.

I'm sure Joe Pa will volunteer the Michigan game where they kept giving Michigan another chance to score be it a "penalty" or a "timeout" called whatever.

The USA-Russia game was a fiasco. They let them try until they got it right. Fuck, it took less "takes" to film Rocky!!!
As for the Penn State-Michigan game, Carr bitched and moaned ON the field, holding up the game (which should have been a penalty) until they put a few seconds back on the clock. Michigan got an extra play out of it and scored on the game's final play. I was literally on suicide watch that day. Same day USC scored on the last play of the game to beat Notre Lame.

I lifted this from ESPN Page 2....but I remember it...one of the worst in HISTORY.

Colorado's fifth down
Colorado comes from behind to beat Missouri 33-31 in 1990, scoring the game-winning touchdown on "fifth down." Officials fail to count a down when the Buffs spike the ball to stop the clock and mistakenly give CU five cracks at the end zone. Colorado's score comes on the final play of the game.

Fuckin eh. Lula, no doubt inspired by the Beer Thread, brought home to Daddy, a 12 pack of....Natural Light.

Hey, beggars can't be choosers. I am still celebrating the great day in sports from yesterday:

Wazzu's assthumping of the Catholicism out of the Whining Irish, 61-41.

The PAC 10, managing to keep it's dignity by all three remaining teams winning. What was great is Wazzu and Stanford beat two Big Yeast teams. I hate the Big Least.

Calgary Flames, winning over Minnesota, to keep the Nucks 3 points back. Thanks Kipper.

I am popping the first beer right......now.

I was going to reference this, but I thought no one here would know about it. Nebraska also fucked over University of Washington too, with a 5 down goal line score. THAT is ok with me, as I HATE UW.

North Carolina is housing motherfuckers right now. They appear to be the team to beat. I think Hansbrough is a fucking punk, though.

Sorry to hear that Deano...Kansas and Texas in the finals. However, I've never seen such a series of breaks like those that UCLA has gotten. Add A&M to the list of those hosed. They may be handed the championship the way it is going. Stanford will lose by at least a dozen, Washington State by 20.

Pac 10 sucks. Lowly K State handled USC. All K State had was a couple of studs and a coach that couldn't coach himself out of a box. Let's see, four guys stand around and one guy tries to get open. Great offense. I think I played that in 5th grade.

Oh course...I could be wrong. I'm dead last in my bracket pool. Shit.

Seriously, Wazzu can hang with UNC. WSU's guards are as good as anyone. I expect a close game.

PS- I take it you are a Big 12 guy. What, one team left? KSU got rolled, and so did OklAHOMA.

PAC 10 has 3 left. More than anyone, except the Big East and they had more teams in because of the size of their conference.

Big 12 has 2 - Kansas and Texas. They should be in final 4. Yup, being from Kansas... I guess I'd better cheer for them. I really can't stand Texas or Oklahoma or Nebraska or Missouri...but I'll pull for them in the Dance or in Bowl games.

Ah hell, go ahead. I can take it. Can't dish it as well though.

Hopefully we'll have another chance to tip a few. Maybe even out there in the land of fruits and nuts!

He was in the running at Temple after the legenary John Chaney hung them up, I wanted Huggins.
They went with Dunphy (also a great choice, if a little less "sexy.").

So what's in it for me if Wazzu traps UNC? Don't laugh, they have the best defense in the land.

It looked like half the April Wine concert goers on Saturday night were packed in the sports bar there to catch the first part of the game before heading in to the show. Gawd that place got loud during those first couple fights.
