I always got the impression that SP knows exactly what he's doing. All signs indicate that's he's a pretty smart guy.
Except during that drunken ROR interview. "allthelawyersinjapn... EAT SUSHI"

I love THAT interview.![]()
It would be nice if HH talked about the start & the history of the band without the bitterness & ugliness...I don't get it - why? It's not like he's living in the poorhouse - SP was classy enough to thank him at the WOF & HH still can't get over "it"?!

What was he meant to do? Not thank him? If he hadn't acknowledged Herbert you can be sure we'd all be hearing about Perry's lack of gratitude...how he forgot the guy who made him a star...how he'd still be looking after turkeys at his mum's farm if it wasn't for Herbie....etc...etc...
And what PR benefit was there? Perry obviously wanted recognition - and rightly so - but other than that very few journalists gave a shit about what he thought about the guy who used to manage the band....and Perry would have known that.

in the event Herbert ever sounds off like he's about to in the upcoming interview. Again, Perry is always a few steps ahead of everyone. The man is not dumb.

Thank you. I'm glad I finaly have your permssion. Geesh, took you long enough!
Who cares anyway? Journey has not only jumped the shark, they were eaten by it, pooped out, and fed the algea. Nothing Herbie can say can help or hurt Perry or Journey. I find it funny people are even worried about it.
What new bits is he going to throw in about Perry? He found a Cheeto that looks like Perry's nose and he is going to auction it off on Ebay? I mean, come on...everybody already knows where he stands.
Journey is the more current joke anyway. I wonder how much time they spent ragging on the disaster of moving from augeri, to JSS, to Arnel. If anything is going to pump Herbie's ego it is going to be to point to Journey and say, "They have a fucking tribute singer. A TRIBUTE singer. I would have NEVER allowed that to happen....Journey did this wrong...they did that wrong...blah, blah, blah."
I also wonder how much, "You were used by the band..." talk there was.
And, I wonder how much was said that CAN'T make it into the interview.

You're the man! I know that's a lot of work.
Saint John wrote:This interview is no coincidence. Azoff and Herbert are friends. There's an agenda here. I think Herbie will be complimentary to the band. They have THEIR catalog back and the chains have been taken off. I'm sure he likes that. I bet Herbie Hamburger Herbert even mentions it. This will be a pro "Journel" interview because Herbie would like nothing more than to see these guys popular one more time. Unlike another, my guess is that his love for the name Journey, and specifically Neal Schon, is unconditional.

I have no interest in hearing about anything except for Steve Augeri and his new projects.
I am only interested in hearing OFFICIALLY when the Tall Stories cd is coming out, and when his solo cd is coming out and
if there are any plans for any dates in the US. firefest v is not an option.
I would also be interested in knowing OFFICIALLY if he realizes there are alot of people out here that supported him and still support him and his music and if he knows this and that we all did not hate or trashed him. I just want to know from
HIM if he knows these things and if he appreciates the support that people have and continue to give him that are
not part of, related to or are "in the know" or part of his inner circle that have "inside information" or part of fan;websites
etc that have information about his plans etc. that we do not have or hear about after they occur.
It would be nice to know if he appreciated the support that those not "close to him" have and continue to give him.
as far a Herbie Herbert I think it will be an interesting interview.

I'd like to hear that from SA, too. I miss the guy - you listen to him for eight years, see him in concert three-five times a year, sorta makes you wanna know what he's up to! I don't care that he can't hit the stratosphere - take a page out of another Journey lead singer's playbook and drop the octave, still has a great voice (when it isn't trashed from overuse!)

I for one think we are bigger than all this...
Maybe not bigger than HH
but above feeding into HH's kibble & bits...
I have a feeling he may just have had his fill of degradation...
I do hope someday he can walk away from the table feeling saited
for how long can someone stew & eat there own guts out?
