OT: Place Vendome ???

Anyone have this album? This album kicks some serious butt.

I imagine it's exactly what Journey would sound like if they'd kept JSS, or gotten some progressive singer like John West. Everything about this record is solid. It's kinda like Journey on Queensryche in many ways.

Check this album out...and pay close attn to the opening seconds of track #2. It's identical to 'To Be Alive Again'. Interesting.

Not a bad song in the lot. Superb album - again one I would not have been aware of without Andrew's recommendation.

"Place Vendome", "Cross the Line" and "I Will Be Gone" are the standout tracks.

So does Kiske & crew. This album has been in heavy rotation since discovering it.
Read an article where he thought the guitars were too loud.
NO WAY!

If anyone who reads this has any influence on the next record, do not turn down the guitars!

Look, it's some German guys that named the album after some French place. But all that aside, the album is top notch. I've listened to it probably a dozen times now, and I can't find anything that I don't like about it. There are a ton of Journey similarities. There's some Queensryche. There's some Iron Maiden. Maybe there are pieces of MSG too.

...just sayin....

I'm just really diggin' this right now...and very loudly, I'll add.
