How Deano spends so much time online...

Postby G.I.Jim » Wed Mar 26, 2008 8:12 am

Is it just me, or has anyone else ever wondered HOW Deano spends so much time on this forum? Most people get on after work (after dinner, chores, personal hygene, etc...) yet Deano's ALWAYS on here. I used to wonder how....until I saw this. Now it all makes sense to me!

No shit. There's a guy at work that calls in sick to play that game. He's told me that he spent his whole vacation playing it. I play a little Half-Life, but damn.

I just don't get that game!??? I play Call of Duty 4 every now and then, but those Role-playing games are just over my head. A buddy of mine would play WOW until 2 or 3 in the morning EVERY night, then go to work all day! I just don't see it, but I guess the same could be said about me staying up all night working on music. I guess whatever makes you tick!

And, they have to pay something like $16.00 a month just to play WoW online. I know that's not much, but I hope other game makers don't follow suit.

I don't think that game is WOW.. Its $14.99. I just started playing it a couple months ago..I'm by no means hard core..But it can be addicting..I have a friend that is hard core and I just can't do it..I just play in small doses..But it is fun. Also, the monthly fee is fair..You get new content and patches a lot..They listen to problems with the game and fix it on a regular basis. Its ongoing, not like Call of duty 4 or half life 2.Most people that play wee into the night are running raids that sometimes takes hours..Its all about the interaction with people..It is no different than here, except your playing a game instead and formulating a strategy..Lots of women play it also..

Hey, don't get me wrong...I'm not knocking you for it. It's just not my bag baby! I don't have the time or patience for it. I'd rather blow away some bad guys on Call of Duty 4, and quit after a couple of rounds. My wife has really gotten into "Guitar Hero" which is a pretty kick-ass game! Even though Keys are my main instrument, I also play guitar. I thought the game would be a breeze, but DAMN it's tough!

Deano has computers in the 2 most important rooms of his house. He can walk and chew gum at the same time so to speak.

...and it's half a foot from the front doorknob so he can just reach over when the Domino's pizza (that he's been tracking online of course) arrives.

Question about the pizza tracker... is it like the Santa tracker they put up on Christmas Eve?

I came. I'm so pathetic I would use that.

As for WoW, subscription games aren't for me. I'd rather buy something once and then an expansion pack every few months. Not sure how much new stuff WoW gives monthly, but I probably wouldn't burn through it in time to make it worthwhile. And I really don't like dealing with the stupid other players. Give me a single-player game and I'm happy. The Internet is full of idiots.

Games like that are dangerous for some people though. I've logged hundreds of hours on Elder Scrolls IV, The Sims 2, and Second Life just in the last 3 years...

No, silly, he just presses a button that opens the door for the pizza guy to come in - I'm just looking for the beer holder.......
