Can someone tell me who's playing first on this tour? Don't want to miss Heart..but..I would guess Cheaptrick's up first...and if so I won't be in a hurry to be on time.

Cheap Shit is opening, Heart is the sandwich act, and Journey is closing. Playing after fucking Cheap Trick, Heart is going to sound like The Beatles.

Never cared for Cheaptrick at all, so I'll be at the beer tent till their done....can't get too ripped, though..get pretty wild when I've been drinking....I can see it now..in the middle of a subdued crowd when Hearts up..there's me dancing and headbangin' inappropriately to the music ...naw...I dig Heart and they have some rockin' tunes SJ...don't know if they'll play 'em but they have some.

If you play in Canada is the tour considered 'international' or 'world'?

Maybe there are several reasons why.
Maybe none at all...other than Perry's "Bon Jour Montreal" back in 1980?

Dunno - maybe none of the promoters here want them (or know they're even still around ) Like Deb pointed out - seems like every other American band does dates here. I think they did a few Augeri-era dates in Eastern Canada, but I recall only one concert ever in their history in Western Canada - waaay back in '80 or thereabouts.

I saw them here in Calgary in May 82 on the Escape tour. But they never made it back here on the ROR tour.

Get your ass to the Chicago show...no excuses. You and I can share a hotel room to cut costs.

One of the best shows I ever saw was Cheap Trick, '83 me thinks. Saxon opened, then Aldo Nova. Cheap Trick played 2.5 hrs including several Beatles covers that were really good. Mudd Island, Memphis...outdoors & extremely loud.

Leave for the show early. Saw Def Lep and Journey there in '06; the place is out on the prairie south of the Lake with 2 lane roads leading to it. A bunch of folks missed Journey's set entirely due to traffic and parking issues.

Surprising amount of adult beverage flowed, though, considering the location.

Hey Deb--SLC was a hoot, wasn't it? My friend from UU thinks we're all batshit crazy, but we had fun! We always do.

On the other deal, get your gig ticket now if you plan to seriously do it; they only sell 1,500 according to the UK folks. I'm working on Our Lady of the Hoses to try to get her in on this too.

For all the Cheap Trick bashers--I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Saw them in '05 opening for Def Lep in San Antonio, and they sounded really good. Stage presence, not so much, but the music was fine.

Either one is around the same distance for me....haven't been to either venue or spent any time in those city's so I don't know which is better...if the dates are correct...then maybe Cincy since it's on a Saturday?
