United we stand off Quest for kamelot

Postby Kaj » Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:39 pm

Hey there,
I just noticed I havent heard the 2nd track Steve Perry did for the Quest for Kamelot soundtrack in 1998.
The song is United we stand, is there anyone here who has a good quality mp3 to share with me :-)

And regarding Perry losing his voice that Herbert stated, why not ask Nuno Bettencourt how Perry´s voice
is nowadays since he has written songs with Perry last year.

Steve doesn't really sing but a couple of lines on that syrupy Foster ballad. Miss it altogether if you have a choice.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Thnx Mrs Perry, I cant wait. When it comes to Perry I am satisfied with just background vocals or a few lines here and there.

I know it came OUT in '98 w/ the movie but wasn't I Stand Alone written (and maybe recorded) during the FTLOSM sessions?

I believe the song, I Stand Alone, was written by David Forster and Carole BAyer Sager, who wrote the whole soundtrack for the animated movie. SP only added a few touches to make it "his own" when singing it. He got a co-writing credit but only following the names Forster and Sager.

United We Stand was just utterly forgettable, IMO. It was just BORING.
