OT: NCAA games tonight

Postby conversationpc » Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:55 am

Anyone else watching tonight? Two things about the broadcast tonight that piss me off...
  1. They were supposed to be showing the North Carolina vs. Washington State game. Instead, they decided to go to the West Virginia vs. Xavier game. STICK WITH ONE FREAKIN' GAME, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
  2. Bill Raftery...Is there a worse announcer in college basketball? The guy sounds like he's trying to crap his pants every other minute or so. How annoying.

Dude, can you blame them for switching? Wazzu played UNC tough for 12 mins and then UNC decided they had had enough, and blew em out. No one wants to watch a 20 point game instead of a tie game going into OT, WVA v Xavier was grand.

By the way, Cbssports.com, you can simply click and watch for free.

Fuck, if Wazzu could make a shot, it would be close. They held UNC to 68 points(UNC averaged 100)

Wish I'd said this a1oud before but I had a hunch about Xavier and the Fina1 4 after a mediocre St Joe's team bounced them from the A-10 tournament.

That's a stud team who came into the fie1d of 64 pissed.

Xavier played awful. How do you lose an 18 pt lead ???? Burrell and Lavender just did not have it. HOW DID THEY WIN ? It is stressful to watch them but I hope Nancy Zimphr who fired Huggins at UC hears about this great game all month!

Huggins had to be fired. Are you kidding me? Just because you win ganes, that doesn't give you carte blanche and allow him to act irresponsibly. Don't get me wrong, I love Hugsm but a university cannot associate itself with an out of control coach.

Deano- He had to be punished . He raised big funds for that Univ. and should have been made to walk the tight rope to stay by the courts. Actually I am an Xavier fan as my oldest daughter attended Xavier. She was in the band and always took her brothers. All of us are X fans. My second daughter attended UC but could care less about UC. Tomorrow UCLA or X. I am scared. I told my son the way X has started off with a big lead and then lost and it and then regains it back is like watching the Bengals on a good day. It was good to beat him last night. Now if I can find the time XU plays tomorrow ,I'm set !
