OT: Yet Another Example Of Religious Yahoos!

These idiots should be charged with negligent homicide! Simply inexcuseable! At some point, you have to put the damn Bible down and exercise some common sense! DOPES!

A "gem" from the article: The girl's mother, Leilani Neumann, said the family believes in the Bible and that healing comes from God. Um...Leilani...Healing comes from getting your damn child to see a physician for a diagnosis and treatment...not reading scripture, you jackass!

It was definitely stupid and deadly not to go to the doctor/hospital. It be just as stupid to use my faith to say that God will provide and refuse to work. You still got to pay the mortgage, bills, etc...

I'm not deeply religious by any means, but God gave us a brain to make rational decisions, faith is important but this is just complete idiotic blind faith. Whether your religious or not you still got to work for what you have and use resources that are readily available. God is just not going to hand it to you.

I agree, the family does need to be charged with at least manslaughter, if not murder.

Those "parents" disgust me. I hope they rot in hell for letting that little girl die such a slow, horrible death. Until they get to hell, I hope they rot in prison.

There was absolutely NO excuse for what they did. Diabetes is not something to mess with and surely not something you hope your faith in God will cure. I hope they throw the book at them...IDIOTS!

Absolutely right ! Im no theologian but I think Gods FIRST command to mankind was "fill the earth and subdue it" - which means that we should use all of our brains and talents to make a better life which includes understanding science and curing disease through medicine . They have no Biblical defense whatsoever. Stupid people!

I guess they found out the hard way that they were wrong. If God didn't spare the 300,000 Indonesians from getting killed by a tsunami, I don't know why anyone would think that God would spare them from diabetes. Did they think God liked them better than the Indonesians?

I think all religion is useless. All it does is cause wars and make people whacko. This family is a perfect example of what religion will do to you if you take it seriously. The last church I went to turned into a cult. No thanks!

Being a Christian myself, I still believe people like this are idiots. Saint Luke, who wrote the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts, was a physician and he was not chastised for taking care of the sick.

this is very difficult to take. losing a child is hell and i know no greater punishment than to go on living with such a loss for these parents.
Until we meet again, may God
Hold you in the palm of his hand.

Faith or not, it was neglect. In their view, they, more specifically the child didn't have enough faith. If she had, she would have lived. Been churches like this...
