Contrast that with when Herbie said "tour!", Perry said "fuck you!"

Great comments, for some reason it's making me laugh my ass off. And, 100% true I would assume.[/quote]

Haha, good one, strangegrey.
I really would have to see the numbers, though, to convince me SA did more concert shows than SP with Journey. Maybe J28 Dave or TNC can dredge up those statistics as they are very good at stuff like that.

I guess I just assumed SA never did full blown-out tours. I do know SP started touring with the band in the fall of 1977 (before Infinity). Then Infinity tour ‘78 (Gregg: "the Infinity tour was called infinity for a reason - it just went on forever"). Evolution ‘79 and Departure ‘80 (Europe & Japan). Escape went ‘81-'82. Frontiers started in Mar 83 (Japan) ended around October, I believe. Only the ROR tour was short (Aug-Feb), but that's still 6 months of shows.

This is just my recollection from previous facts that I have come across. I really don't have the time or inclination to go digging. I'm hoping one of our other MR geek posters ( :D ) comes up with the actual numbers, so we all know which guy did more performances--for sure.

Andrew,

Congratulations on the interview. I know what you went through to get that on line - that man sure can talk. I had two and a half 90 minute cassettes to transcribe for Castles Burning!

I was pleased to hear Herbie speak positively about the opportunity Journey has with this new WalMart deal. The drug stuff wasn't surprising to me, because he asked that I edit most of that stuff out of my interview. I still believe that if he had it in him, he could work wonders again with Journey or any other band he cared enough to manage.

Oh, and by the way, thanks for the props and link to Castles Burning in your piece. I appreciate it.

All in all, a very nice job to you, sir.

You and Andrew should talk. Compare notes and stuff. Your interview is legendary. I can't count how many times it's been quoted here.
