VAN HALEN I - A+ (introduced the world to the guitar mastery of EVH, the best hard rock debut album)
VAN HALEN II - B (nice followup)
WOMEN & CHILDREN FIRST - B (good guitar songs)
FAIR WARNING - C- (only a couple of good songs)
DIVER DOWN - D (worst DLR era album, 5 covers songs, where are the guitars)
1984 - A (regained the top of rock world + addition of keyboards)

5150 - A (showed the world that VH could move ahead with Sammy Hagar in fold)
OU812 - B (good songs, i liked this album & tour)
F.U.C.K. - B- (some weak songs)
BALANCE - C+ (the band is hurting now)

VAN HALEN III - D (W.T.F. were they thinking with bringing in Gary Cherone)

VH - A - (One of the best debuts ever)
VHII - B - (Great follow up, but not as strong)
WACF - C+ - (Some good songs)
FW - A - (Dark, heavy, and very good)
DD - C - (Too many covers)
1984 - A - (Daves swansong....at that point)

5150 - A+ (Essential, in my book. Sammy is the greatest)
OU812 - B+ (Great material, but poor production)
F.U.C.K - A - (Great "live" sounding album)
Balance - A - (Dark, geat production)

VH3 - D - (A bad idea all around)

Gotta say II is my favorite, followed closely by I and 5150.
And say what you will about Fair Warning, MEAN STREET , UNCHAINED, DIRTY MOVIES, and SO THIS IS LOVE are four of thier finest songs and absolutely DESTROY anything on VH 3- what a steaming turd THAT thing was!
