While Dean has brought a lot of good information and discussions to this board, he has also wreaked more havoc than any other single poster that I know of. There have been many fine quality people that have left MR because of the insults that have been hurled at them from some of the regulars here. Those that stand up against it are ganged up on. I've been part of it, and I have been victim to it, so I know of what I speak.

I'd like nothing more than to see folks be able to have a great conversation without personal insults, but until that is expected AND enforced on ALL sides, this type of stuff will happen. Ultimately, it's up to TPTB to decide what kind of forum they want, and then have the nads to stand behind it.

I don't have a problem with people getting on Deano for what he does here. However, what I do have a problem with are those who are all of a sudden jumping on the "punish Deano" bandwagon when, previously, Monker was the only one who was constantly railing against Andrew for the supposed double standard.

The reason why I do this is because there is a double standard and favoritism here, Andrew. Dean has/ will start up shit on his own, unprovoked, and have you banned him because of the shit he says? I have no "aim", Andrew. I just want to be treated with the respect that I deserve, and I want to see others treated likewise. The contention that Dean only "responds" with insults when he is baited is simply NOT TRUE, and it bugs me to see that because people that don't know any better actually believe it. I have and will continue to give him credit where credit is due. But he is not the 'savior' of Journey and the 'king' of this board. I am an adult participant of this forum who has supported MR with my time and money, and as such I deserve to be treated with respect. You as the moderator have a responsibility to see that that happens.

Dean disrupts this board more times than I can count, unprovoked and provoked. I admit I provoke him sometimes. Others, he does the provoking, and I might be in a thread, responding nicely to what was posted, and he does come in and starts shit. I am no angel, and neither is Dean.
