Possible Revelation Cover Art

Postby JrnyProsper » Mon Apr 07, 2008 9:47 am

:P I know this is weird for a first post but over on that other board, I posted a link to an ad here in Dallas that I think includes the cover art to revelation.http://www.dallasobserver.com/adindex/ad.php?ad_id=361514&s=live+nation

I hope this works.... just wanted you all to see.

I was going to crop it as well, but I figured someone else would beat me to it...

It definitely looks pretty cool, from what I can tell...

TBF and ROR are pretty good, but it DOES beat the covers for Frontiers, Arrival, Red 13, and Generations.

I tried to blow it up but it was just too distorted.

Neal gets the VERY first and top billing .. would it not have been something if they had spelled his name Neil?

They flash some kind of cover looking art in this video, but Revelation is spelled with an 's'. :?

You can hear a clip of one of the rerecords, I think it is anyway.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

No thats just a fan made video. The Arnel singing clip is from one of his Zoo live shows.

Good, because it wouldn't have been a very good production of the song.

Dude, no kidding. That record sounded like it was recorded by emailing it to each other so they could do their respective parts on Pro Tools.

I like it it. Journey "going to new heights" or perhaps "breaking out". Anyway, it looks like a Journey album should.

I don't like this. Yeah, it is really pretty, but both of those scarabs are OLD! Can't they design a new one? Just seems like a lack of effort. Too bad because I do think it's a nice design.

So Sarah. What would your design be? Go for it.

I kinda like the fact that it's classic.

I'd just make new scarabs is all. The rest is fine.

First they pulled the font from Essential Journey for the site now the scarab itself for the new album? Is this laziness or they really want to hold onto the GH?

I don't know. I still expect they want to keep the connection to the past and I had to pull out my Essential Journey CD to see the font and the scarab and your are right, although I do like what they have done with it. I never would have caught that and I totally missed it about the font. (so much for the Asian argument). Thanks for the info.

Good 1ooking.
If this is the rea1 tour poster I am sure the Reve1ation's cover wi11 be an approximation of that and I dig it.

It's a screen capture from the video I posted a link to above. I think it's ok, but it's not the flying scarab. They also spelled Revelation with an 's'. Kind of takes away from it looking official at all.

When I look at this, I think I see Revelation as just a shadow behind the JOURNEY.

I noticed that, too. I bet they just shadowed that out for this promo. That's probably where the title will be on the official album cover.
