In all seriousness, Journey Relevation just sounds so cheesy and.. crap.

In all seriousness, "The Journey Revelation" sounds like something FyreDynger would entitle something.

I don't think it's that bad in and of itse1f it's just weird to use the band name EVER in song.

Reeks of Shir1ey, BTW.

I was thinking more likely Cain myself.

It was at the encouragement of Shirley that the instrumental even made the cut. That tells me he *gets it*, and like many fans here, holds affection for the titular instrumentals of albums past.
The band has never released an instrumental since Cain joined.

SHOULD'VE released at least two of them.

"With A Tear" and "Into Your Arms" are two of the best songs Journey have ever done. I'm sorry, I don't think a soaring melody and emoting Perry could add to those two songs anymore. Instrumental masterpieces. They sound more "Journey" than more than half of RoR, closer to what I would've expected a Freedom record to be like.

Who played bass and drums on those anyway? Jackson and Londin?

Have you heard the demo of "With A Tear" where Perry did mess around with it and they were trying to put lyrics to it? They must have decided it was better left without....here it is if you haven't heard it...fun to hear how he just improvised to the music..

Yeah, I've heard it.. I mean, it still would've been a good song with vocals, but for once I feel it is indeed better without. Shame it wasn't included on ROR.

I'm very, VERY interested to hear this instrumental and see where the guys are at creatively. Collectively, there are a lot of years of musical genius in those guys. Let's see what they parlayed that in to.

Yes, but if the instrumental is two pieces of music with "The Journey" portion being a progressive rocker and "Revelation" being a Neal singing through the guitar soulful piece it could work--Conversations/In My Lonely Feeling.....
The Journey/Revelation doesn't feel weird to me the way "The Journey Revelation" would.

Excellent point(s). Your scenario (The Journey/Revelation) is the only one that would be acceptable as far as incorpoarting all 3 words. 8)

Agreed! That idea actually appeals to this ProgRocker a little. 8)

Although "Captain Friga's Tea Party" is pretty snazzy.

the bio has it listed as, "The Journey Revelation)," which is grammatically incorrect. maybe it's supposed to be "The Journey (Revelation)."
