OT: Brett Favre...Not so Fast

Postby Enigma869 » Fri Apr 11, 2008 3:51 am

Well, I predicted this guy probably wasn't going to stay retired. Let's see if he proves me right. He simply likes the attention, WAY TOO MUCH!

I really like Favre, but this isn't fair to Aaron Rodgers. The Packers should make some kind of statement to put an end to this.

Yeah, As good as he was/is. I think he's just out to make a spectacle of himself and the Packers now. He was pissed because the Pack failed twice in 2 years to land Moss.

I guess life on the farm isn't as exciting as being an NFL hero. This was to be expected.

Brett Favre is the reason I started watching football.

I'd be thrilled for him to come back, launch a few more heroic passes, win some games, ya dig.

Was that the game that Antonio Freeman made that RIDICULOUS catch in OT and then ran into the end zone, untouched to win the game? That was a GREAT game, if it's the one I'm thinking of!

November 2000 is when Freeman made the sick catch on his back..December 2003 is the year where Brett played a sick game a day after his father's passing.. Favre passed for 399 yards and four touchdowns..granted they were going to catch anything he threw up..but damn..that was a insane game.. that's what you call playing with passion..which is how he played the game..that whole game felt like a Mean Joe Green Coca Cola commercial.

I'll NEVER argue Brett Favre as a player. The dude was the most hard nosed football player, EVER, which is saying a lot, considering he played the QB position. That said, I could really do without his "Diva" like attitude every year, about to retire or not retire. I have FAR more respect for guys who don't leave their teammates in limbo, EVERY season, with their future career plans! Either play football or go the fuck away and stop talking to the media about how you might come back! I think Favre's issue is he doesn't believe the Packers showed him enough love in the offseason, so he simply "retired"!

Agreed. I've always thought the same thing about guys like Roger Clemens, Michael Jordan, etc. Shit or get off the pot already. Make a friggin' decision.

I hope Brett Favre goes hunting with Dick Cheney. I'm tired of this inbred jackoff using his awesome career as leverage to act like a prick year after year. Come back again you hillbilly fuck. You've cost your team more games over a five year span with your lazy ass interceptions than I did in a decade playing Madden.

He's at the point now (1ast 4-5 years actua11y) where when the rush is coming he's just ye11ing "MAYDAY!!!!!" and putting up there for grabs.
Minus a few MPH off his famous heater and you have a pick machine.

He mustered a pro bow1 year 1ast season, I guess the Pack is hoping he goes out on that note..
