billy joel still has it...

Saw Joel in Des Moines last night about 10,000 or more packed into the arena.. can that guy play the piano or what still. Started
with angry young man and allentown, played some gems from stranger 52nd st glass houses-- the entertainer was played, big shot,
dont ask me why, vienna, we didnt start the fire and many many others, played for 2 and 1/2 hours... ended with the piano man, they had some fun in the middle of the show
with highway to hell with one of their roadies singing and joel on the guitar---and the encores anymore kill me... the 70s and 80s it was lighters..
well now its all the cell phones up in the air. best line of the night a bug flew in his mouth right at the beginning of a song and had to stop...
took a few drinks of water and laughed that well at least were not on tape... !! Just a rock and roll fuck up! gotta love a dude like that.

Billy has always "had" it. I didn't like him back in the day - the older I got the more I appreciated his music.

Then I saw him with Elton John as co-headliners - unbelievable show. Two totally different personalities that complimented and blended together perfectly.

And that HOF induction! LOL!

(PS - saw the musical "Movin' Out" - that was so much fun!)

I agree that she has some talent, but I was watching her make the talk show circuit a while back and.....the best thing I can say is that she will not be taken for granted because of a pretty face. Her talent will, and will have to, shine through. She gets help from the pedigree, but it will be her talent that speaks.

Glass Houses is my favorite Billy Joel album. Not for the hits, but more for songs like "Sleeping With The Television On" and "I Don't Want To Be Alone Anymore" He actually broke those out last tour.
