One of the great voices of rock. A true "man's man" as well. Legendary career.

I'd love to play poker and toss back a few beers (see also: play Trivial Pursuit and sip on a wine cooler) with Cronin.

Not that it'd make much difference now but why doesn't REO have their own MR forum?

Best song on their new album, IMO, is #8 Everything You Feel.

The only thing I have to add to this thread is REO was neutered when KC got rid of Richrath. Richrath was the balls of this band.

I once heard ol' Richrath bumps around L.A. wearing a 49ers jacket, drinking liquor out of a brown paper bag on the street.

I wish I had a reputable source to confirm this info.

Hello? Reputable source? Are you out there?

Interesting perspective, SJ. I was honestly STUNNED when I learned the guy was heterosexual. Dude has a hot wife, and I was absolutely shocked. It once again proves that if you can sing, even a little...you can always get laid

Omigawd! I love REO, especially Dave; but this thread reminds me of the Journey tour with them and Cronin's *continuous* speech about the Play Boy mansion...so tiring! LOL

I love Kevin Cronin. I love REO Speedwagon. And I certainly hope I don't hear a single negative word in this thread, or I'm going to "Take it on the Run" while the "Wheels are Turnin'" because I never liked the "Tough Guys". So keep "Building the Bridge" or you'll be "Ridin' the Storm Out".

(Seriously, I am a big fan. )

I'll try!

Ok, 1st of all you had to have been a dye hard fan and attended about a gazillion shows that year, and so you've heard Kevin's researsed speech (meant to have been funny) EVERY show!

The way I remember it....he was invited to the PB Mansion (long drawn out intro) and was approched by a PB bunny who throught he was the lead singer for REM blah blah blah...ok, it's not so funny now.

You should have been there!

I had always heard that. But in my case, it hasn't helped. Going on two years now.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!
