Who can Mariah Carey come "close" to? Might want to reverse that.....NOBODY can come close to Mariah Carey. She holds the Guiness record for largest vocal range, and also the highest note ever hit by a human......dolphins are the only mammals that can get that high. But Mariah really isn't "rock".

There used to be a rumor that she had a 7-octave vocal range. Not true. I heard it described that if she had that vocal range, she would have to be able to hit Barry White-type lows and highs nearly audible only to dogs.
