What about Celene Dion? They both have such an amazing way of sharing their emotions through their music.

Never heard any of them. Give me some well-known ones.

I PROMISE you'd know Owner Of A Lonely heart. Go to amazon and check out the sample for the greatest hits or the 90125 album.

Looked up YES on YT, Liam. Can't say I'm familiar with any of their songs. These weren't played much on Top40 radio stations, were they?
Judging by their music and videos, though, they must had a big following. My first impression would be that their music is bombastic (sp?).

He has sang background with a lot of artists, but the duet (Don't Fight It in 1982) with Kenny Loggins is the only one he has shared singing with (other than the Journey songs with Gregg Rolie, of course).

Belinda Carlyle
Jon Anderson

Any thoughts?

We can only dream. Who is Jon Anderson? And didn't karen Carpenter pass away in the mid-'70s, before Journey became well-known.

She died in 1983 from complications related to anorexia. She and her brother Richard were The Carpenters.

This reminded me of a bad joke from the mid '80s. "What would Karen Carpenter say if she were alive today? RICHARD, GET ME OUT OF THIS BOX!!!!"

Anyway, it seems like we have as good a chance of hearing SP sing again as Karen Carpenter.

What a sad story. She had the most beautiful female singing voice I've ever heard. She had gone through rehab and was gaining weight, and her weakened heart couldn't handle that weight. So sad.

I think a duet of Steve and Karen Carpenter would have been so great had she still been alive. Karen had a beautiful voice. A duet of Steve and Mamma Cass Elliot would have been great too had she still been alive today.

I've seen something similar to that Debbie. It was great! Have you ever seen that clip?

I saw it. It was solid. Didn't beat what the real thing would've been though.

What about SP and Dolly Parton?

Now THERE's something that would sell, kind of like people pull over to see a train wreck. Not very pretty, but you can't help but looking. :D

I love the idea of a Perry/Henley song. How about one with MeatLoaf?

Would love to hear Perry and Seal do something together. That would be an R&B wet dream!

If we can pick from the dearly departed, then I'm picking Rosemary Clooney.
I know that seems odd, but give it a minute. I think that would have been cool as hell. 8)
