X factor wrote:1981- Springsteen, on THE RIVER tour- in the encores, he launched into JUNGLELAND. When they get to the Big Man's sax solo (which was friggin beautiful! ) Bruce hopped up on Roy Bittan's grand piano and starts pumping his fist in the air in time to the beat, while slowly rotating in a circle, so as to get the whole of the arena into it. I start doing it to, and when I look around , all 13,000 people are pumping there fists in unison!!! For a 13 year old kid, that was an amazing moment...I just got goose bumps typing it!

u2- 1987 / Joshua Tree tour. TONS of great moments in this show- the two coolest actually happened BEFORE the band came on and AFTER they left (the band was phenominal, but these two moments were sublime)
1st, before the house lights went out, they were playing the requisite rock and roll over the PA- suddenly the Beatles Twist and SHout comes on and the place just went NUTS! All at once, literally, 12.000 people jump to their feet and start dancing! I knew right then, we were in for a helluva night!
AFTER the last encore (the beautiful "40") the band did their thing of all walking off one at a time, and after Larry left, the audience continued singing the chorus ("How Long..." - if you've ever watched RED ROCKS you know how this goes) and, I shit you not, we all stood there in the dark singing that refrain for at least five minutes after the band was gone. It was just...majestic! (Goose bumps again)

...and after the show, I had really hot sex with my date...so that was pretty cool too!

i worked the u2 joshua tree show in indy at the hoosier dome, the fabulous thunderbirds were to be the opening act, but got stuck somewhere. one of the crew told me to check out the opening act, out came 3 guys in beards(not zztop) turns out it was u2 in desguise, played a bunch of obscure and blues stuff. very cool. i still dont think more than a couple thousand people knew it was them, opening for themselves.

The greatest musical moment of my life was when I was taking my 18 month old daughter to day care and had Journey on the radio, can't remember the song, but I had my head bobbing to the music, and I looked over at her and she had her head bobbing to it also. She still listens to Journey. I went to her 16th birthday party last September at my exwifes house. They hired a DJ so she and her friends could dance and enjoy music. Two Journey songs and a Van Halen song played while I was there, which was about 1.5 hours. The rest of the music they played was a mix of pop and country. :x
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Mine would be a Journey moment. My son and I went to see Journey in Indy on the Vacation's Over tour. Deen Castronovo was sneaking around the arena and folks didn't know who he was. My son and I went up to talk to him and he chatted with us for about 10 minutes. He talked to my son and I while also signing a couple of CD's for us.

I thought the deal was over at that point but it wasn't. During the closing of the show before the encore, Deen ID's my son and I about 8 rows back from the stage. He invites us up front, giving the security guy the ok, for us to come to the front of the stage for the encore. We got to hang in the front row for the encore. When the show was over, Deen came up to the front of the stage and handed my son of his drum sticks and shook his hand. Castro is a class act and a good dude for sure. Thanks Deeno.

My best moment is when my Grandparents took me to the Snake River Stampede when I was Like 10. Jodie Miller (Wife of Roger Miller) did a concert after the rodeo, she had a couple of country hits back in the day. Anyway, so after she s done singing, she rides a horse around the arena and I'm standing at the rail clapping and yelling, she rides up, smiles at me and shakes my hand. Still remember that like yesterday.

Thanks SJ.Long Time, dude. We had a good time in VA at the polo match didn't we?
I'll make sure I give everyone the lowdown once it happens.
The date is June 29th in King Of Prussia, PA.

I can't decide. I saw every Journey concert that they did in the Summit. At least the ones with Steve Perry. The music was great and Steve Perry played and teased and even encouraged us to sing. I have said this many times before. The best thing about seeing Journey back then was Steve Perry made US feel like he was there to see us as much as we were there to see him. I will never forget those concerts, the sights the sounds and the way they made me feel. Never felt that way before or sense. Those are precious memories.
On my way to better things......I found myself some wings

Dream the joys of pearls and gold, And our angels wings in flight unfold.

Great stuff!. And interesting how it contradicts Herbie's "he never looked at the audience" comments.

On the FTLOSM tour, I had a full three second eye contact from the second row at the Portland show. Seriously. Either he spaced out or thought I was the ugliest chick he'd ever seen, but there was definitely eye contact (during "Missing You").

It was long enough that my sister hit me and said "holy s***".

And she doesn't cuss. :D
