Have you guys seen this? As a guitar player, it's kinda cool to me.

I'm not that much into guitars but have friends that are, as well as my husband.

There's a new DVD, not sure if you heard of it yet but it looks pretty cool. It's called "Solidbodies, The 50 Year Guitar War"

Indeed still waiting for those lessons... the only Neal guitar literature I have is an old issue of GuitarOne or maybe GuitarWorld (Jeff Beck & BB on the cover) ... cant remember which, dont feel like walkin to the shitter where that mag is right now... anyway, it has a short interview and lesson with Neal sharing some licks... but they aren't really "Journey" style licks, just some basic blues/mixolydian stuff. Kinda disappointing. Anyone know of stellar Neal literature/guitar mag features out there in any archives? Sometimes its so hard to hear what hes doing on some of those fast runs the way he picks/approaches his legato... not as easy to hear as say, a Petrucci.

Oh, and the Neal LP is an incredible instrument... I'd love to have one! The cut switch, the sustainer, the floyd rose, the LP body shape, 24 frets... what more could you want?

Is it only 22? I could swear it was 24 since Neal reaches up there so often. Did you buy that Warmoth you were debating over a while ago in a post? If so, that was a hot guitar

yep its 22, but it has a contoured heel, which i think is one of the best features, which smooths out the bump where the neck connects to the body, making it easier to reach up there. and yes, i bought it. i got it down to 850$ shipping included :D im very excited to play it. do you have any idea what it is like to buy a new guitar and not be able to play it for a month?! it sucks! lol

My latest Strat purchase sat at home for a week before I got home for spring break to play it and that was agonizing enough... a month would be killer. That's why I can't imagine waiting 6 months or something crazy like that after dropping a couple grand on a really slick custom shop guitar or boutique amp
