 I have seen the Habs do this more than once.....sigh.
Glad the weather is still decent and I can drown my cup dreams in
the sunshine and suds that surround me.

I'm looking forward to the Detroit and Calgary games today.

Yup, I just live here and hoping to get the hell outta here! Born and raised Calgarian - once a Flames fan, always a Flames fan :D

Hey - at least those pesky Ducks (sorry Ducks fans) got eliminated - knocked a bunch of dummies out of our hockey pool at work!

I had two beers by the firepit last night for the both of you.
Sorry to see your still hitting below freezing temps and snow filled skies there Deb.
Happy I is that the Flames and Wings won.
Now if the Habs can pay attention long enough to win
tonight's game maybe they'll go somewhere.

Lady Lula, Tree and all Anaheim fans you have my Stanley sympathies. :(

Anyone else happy the Mighty Sucks of Anaheim are now out?

Dallas came back and put them in their rightful place! So Burkie, still confident that you can repeat as Stanley Cup Champs? Maybe you shouldn't be telling other GM's that you're getting a sure fire Top 5 pick and certain GM's are running their teams into the sewers! Because your pick and the Oilers pick aren't going to be that far apart!

And Chris "I can't keep it in my pants" Pronger.. I hope you enjoyed watching your team being eliminated from the Penalty Box!

Karma's a wonderful thing!

Now I wonder if Calgary and Montreal can move on to the 2nd round..

All sorts of intersting matchups could be created.. please bear with me!

WEST

Now if Calgary (7) wins, they play Detroit (1) . While Dallas (5) will tangle with Colorado (6) .

If San Jose Wins, they play Dallas, Detroit plays Colorado.

EAST

Here's where it gets really confusing!

Montreal (1) vs. Boston (8) - If Montreal wins, they will play Philly (6). *

Pitts (2) will then play NYR (5).

If Boston Wins, they will then play Pitts (2)

Then Philly will play NYR.

* - Thats of course if Philly wins their series.

If by some fluke Washington comes back and beats Philly here are the possible 2nd rounds:

Monteal vs. Rangers

Pitts vs. Caps

OR

Pits Vs Boston

Caps Vs Rangers

Got that?? Good! lol

So what am I banking on?

Detroit Vs Calgary

Dallas Vs Colorado

Monteal Vs. Philly

Pitts Vs Rangers

Lots of EX Oilers to cheer for!

Busy with life and wishing I was at the game. Nosebleed seats were going for close to $300 for game one, so I'm sitting this one out. Et tu?

I'm here in down south Ontario showing support and spitting fire when deserved.
I need me some Stanley!

Maybe not. Don't see them winning in Washington.

Did y'all see Cherry sporting his black suit with piss-yellow colored tie & hanky? Dude looked like he was selling Stanley tools.

Jeeeeez what is this, the offseason? DAMN. We need a team to play already! I think the Rangers/Caps/Bruins/ are trying to extend their own series on purpose just to avoid the Pittsburgh Penguins! Honestly, lets get it on! 8)

Mike Keenan's last game as Flyers coach. I still remember Hextall being hung out to dry that night.

Been here too many times before. WTF?

I am thinking of taking up going to the theatre as a hobby. This sports thing is too damn painfull.

Yes.. I do recall a certain team winning the Cup in 88...

That was their 4th in 5 years if I recall..

The last Dynasty of the NHL.. (Detroit came close in the late 90's..)

So I guess its back to Washington eh?

Not so sure dude.

Edmonton was killer but the Islanders had the "Drive for Five" going. Trottier, Bossy, Potvin, LaFontaine, Gillies and Billy Smith in the pipes. That compares to the Oilers of Gretz, Kurri, Mess and Fuhr and don't forget Anderson even though he smoked pole and Marty too.

Pretty close.
