What happened?

Postby ProgRocker53 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 8:01 am

A lot of my posts and a couple threads disappeared completely sometime in the past 24 hours. Odd.

The whole site has been weird for a couple of days - maybe you got lost in the server shuffle?

at least 65% of your posts are still showing up ...

There is a chance that with this upgrade, some posts may have gotten lost in process, if there wasnt a back up made ,,,,,

I was looking for your Av thread, just to ask who Luke is, and it isn't here either.

I have been having some weird issues with this forum the last two days. It is either a critical error, the webpage doesn't display, or having problems logging in.

"Luke" is Steve Lukather, lead guitarist/sometimes lead singer/sometimes keyboardist for Melodic Rock legends Toto.

He has an ass-kicking solo album, Ever Changing Times, out right now. I love classic Toto but the material with a bigger Luke influence (Kingdom of Desire, Tambu, Mindfields, Falling In Between) elevated Toto into "Favorite" status for me, mainly due to the mix of jazz, blues, rock, pop, prog, and funk demonstrated on these records.

Luke's got a bunch of hilarious, honest, and informative interviews out there. VERY worth a read... love the guy.

Lukather's latest "look" is about one step away from Village People status.

I always considered it just some identity insecurity that causes people to feel they have to 'decorate' themselves.

Earrings, temporary, day to day decoration.

When I see the "illustrated look", you know over the top, tatooing, all arms, back, etc. I wonder, what's the attraction?

A little tatooing here and there looks cool, depending on what it is and where. Of course, I'm only talking about chicks, I don't care what dudes do.

No, most ink is personal. However, all the things put on public display is decoration.
That entire 'hey look at me' syndrome is selfish and weak.

Time for a reliable, stable host. Check out liquidweb.com, good prices, good service. Shouldn't cost you more than 25.00 a month to host this site and forum.
