DAVE BICKLER JOINS JIM PETERIK ON STAGE

Postby bomes » Thu May 01, 2008 5:08 pm

It's from the Melodicrock-site 05/01/2008. That are good news:

"Jim Peterik has just stepped off the stage in Chicago after shooting a special Sound Stage performance with the World Stage Band. Full details to follow tomorrow. But joining Jim on stage for the Survivor song Summer Nights was none other than original Survivor vocalist Dave Bickler. More soon..."

Fantastic news!!! :D

How awesome would it be to see Peterik, Bickler and Jamison all tour together?

I doubt that will happen. But it would be great to see Peterik team up with Bickler much the same way as he has with Jamison as of late. ! :D

I have been sitting here for a month waiting to see if someone was going to report this here.....I'm glad it's finally out there....I think Dave is doing Summer Nights and of course being a part of Tiger....I don't think a tour will happen but it's great to see the ""Real Man of Genius" out there having a Real good time....Dave is a great guy....I can't say anymore but I am thrilled Dave is out there again for this show even if it is a one off.....

I'm sure each of us is happy if it won't be only a "one off". Let's dream a little bit and hope JP can get Dave for being a bigger part of his World Stage project, same as with Jimi or maybe JP is making also an Album with Dave. How cool would that be? Just a dream...

As far as I heard this was a special Taping for a TV Show (PBS Soundstage on WTTW Channel 11), but I don't know when it will be on air.

Slander must be pumped beyond belief !!!
I guess we all know who the bad guy was after all ..
Jamison , Peterik & Bickler .. Looks like a force to me.. Intellectual Property ! This seems like a dream ..

They need to do a tour.. I am sure Peterik doesn't need to slave on the road anymore and Bickler is cashing in on the radio commercials.. Baywatch is in syndication again so Jimi must be cashing in again too .. Plus Jamo is playing a lot live..

How about them You Tube videos of Jimi ? Slander he sounds great.

It's great news. The true voice of Survivor sings EOTT again! It's all great news JJ is taking care of himself.

Won't ever happen....wish it would though......

And Eyeof....I didn't say anything because it was not my place to say....just like in the thread could Frankie face any of those guys...all I can say is YES....and I will leave it at that......

Heard the show was great and all the other entertainers were spot on.....but, I also heard from 2 people that were there Frankie's guitar work was sorely missed....his tone is unique to him.....some things you just can't replace, you can imitate, but not replace....Mike and Joel H are both monsters by the way, just different than Frankie....all props to those two guys though....

I was there!

Postby Jeremy Holiday » Sat May 03, 2008 12:16 am

I was at the show. Let me tell you guys, it was an absolutely incredible experience. Meeting Dave for the first time and seeing him perform was something else! Aside from JP and DB themselves, there wasn't a happier person than me in the theater when "Summer Nights" was played. It was just incredible. Jimi was fantastic as well. He is 100% back on his game. Dave and Jimi really hit it off, too, which was wonderful to see.

I was there for the rehearsals on Tuesday and then the filming on Wednesday. I didn't think that anything could top either the concert or the "hang" of Andrew's Melodic Rock Fest, but this one surpassed it. Everyone there was an absolute legend, working in peak form. Definitely keep an eye out for this show when it airs.

Ultimates is in my car deck right now, just finished the remastered Caught In The Game while I pulled up in the lot.

Anybody here who doesn't have Ultimates, you're a disgrace and go get it today.

My favorite song in the Survivor catalogue. Sullivan's solo is a friggin masterpiece.

Half-life and It Doesn't Have To Be This Way stand up against anything the band's ever recorded.

I'm pretty much always here, but like JV I've gotta stay out of a lot of these discussions, since I'm one of the few that is on good terms with JP, JJ and FS.

Red we don't see eye to eye on much but glad we have found common ground on what I think is Survivor's finest hour. I have said it before: "Santa Ana Winds is Survivor's Hotel California."

One other thing... Dave looked great. Short hair (no beret) and in really great shape. Not a single line on his face. I'll try to post a picture of him and me from after the show later this weekend.

QUESTION:

DID DAVE AND JIMI BOTH SANG DUET THAT NIGHT ON "EYE OF THE TIGER"
DID THEY WERE BOTH ON THE SAMED STAGE ON A SONG?

THANK YOU
