YESSSS! Thank you! That one has the stellar sound and the cowbell! :D I don't care what anyone says, maybe that's stuff is old but remastering that was one of the smartest things he ever did. 8)

Thanks again Rick.  :)

Perry's vocals were stunning in this performance.   The whole band was firing on all cylinders on this one.  Still amazes the hell out of me everytime I watch it.  Little did I know the talent we took for granted back then!

Remasterings ass, I took a huge amount of time to post those in high quality. The flowing text is a little cheesy though.

ROFL! Sorry. You're right.
But the cowbell was never even heard before HE touched it and this is not the Rick is aweseome thread...
You ARE awesome but SJ is monitoring the Perryiciation heavily. (I did not just say that did I? Shoot me.)

If you mean the stupid concert banter at the start, I agree.
Concert banter is lame and no one should do it.

That is my favorite performance of IBAWY

Here's another from that same show.
"You Better Wait" is one of my favorite SP solos.

Two more and then I'll stop I promise.

The rare gem "Let Go" which I listened to a LOT when I was going through a tough break-up. Thanks Steve

And "Can't Let You Go" that Steve recorded with Jeff Golub. Is it hot in here? 8)

This is THE GREATEST live performance, BY ANYONE, I have ever seen! Absolutely brilliant! Journey should simply retire that tune and never perform it again. Every single time I've heard someone else try to pull "Mother/Father" off, I cringe listening to it!

I honestly think, like you, that it's the greatest vocal performance ever. NO ONE else can do that....no one.

This is the BEST thread ever.Damn it SJ... You make me feel like a Loon...again. And damn proud of it,too.

The more I hear the Houston "Mother Father",the more I realize that I am listening to PERFECTION.Every note, every inflection...Out of this world.
Can't possibly name any other song or singer that can make me feel the way Perry does when he sings this one.

If there was a "Vocal Hall Of Fame" this song would surely be in it. Oh wait, there is a vocal hall of fame...it's called "Journey's Greatest Hits." :D

He really is a doll, down to earth and funny. :) That was the hellos and goodbyes........he stayed and chatted for a while, then we all took pics. I was absolutely stunned when he came walking up! It's funny, I think I was one of the first to see him too........we were all milling around talking about what shops we wanted to hit, etc.........and I saw this guy with dark glasses walking down the block and wondered who he was with, then I saw the StevePerryhair. I was calm on the outside, but couldn't shut off the "holy sh!t" over and over in my head.
