I pulled it out once and it slides OUT easy and painless, but has to be relined with the hook to get back in. So, when I go to the dentist or doctor and have to have xrays and they ask if I can take it out, the answer is, Uh.....NO!

I can understand ear piercing. I'll never understand nose, tongue, navel, etc., piercing. I don't get the allure. Is it a "look at me" attention-getting kinda thing?

It's a decoration, just like the ears....unless you start getting into the big posts, chains and rings...THEN it's an attention thing. Mine is a tiny little jewel stud.

I always get "What's wrong" or "Hey smile, it's not that bad."
I think I have what a friend once described as 'mad eyes' because people always think I'm mad about something.
I can be walking down the street thinking about what I'm having for dinner, feeling perfectly jolly, and inevitably some asshole happens by and goes "Smile!" or "Why so angry?"

A) You don't know me, so why do you care.
B) I was feeling happy and dandy until you opened your fucking mouth.
C) You have no idea what's going on - maybe my pet turtle just got run over by a skateboard.

Think before you say that to someone. A host at a restaurant did that to me and my mom once. It was as we were on the way home from making cemetary arrangements right after my dad passed away. We needed to grab breakfast before the LONG day and were not going to cook. The guy is seating us and says "Hey, why so unhappy?" We ignored him. He came BACK around and said "are we cheered up over here?"

Mom let him have it and I gave him a look that told him he was an asshole. He did not reappear the whole meal.
And I bet he never said that to anyone again.

My hair reaches the middle of my butt-and has for a few years now. Still, several times a week I get people saying "your hair is getting so long!"

Getting long???? Getting long???? I thought it already was long!!!

The hair thing...YEAH, that's a big one for me as well!!! Only for me it's...you're hair is so pretty, IS IT REAL???? But that's not the most annoying part...as they are asking they are reaching for my head!!!
So, I guess my real gripe is that I'm tired of people petting me, like a dog....their fingers DO GET tangled in this mess and it hurts!!!

That is funny  I get asked if my eyes are real, I keep thinking one day I'm just going to say "No they're fake, I pop them out every night & keep them in a box till morning", lol.

NO offense, Melissa, I'm a person who notices eyes, so I would probably comment as well!!! But I can assure you, I would not poke you in the eye to verify authenticity and I'm quite sure you would not try to run your fingers through my hair to try to pull out an extension!!!

Back to hair.....when my daughter was born, she had a full head of thick, dark hair. It was beautiful-and still is...but when I would take her anywhere when she was a baby people would always walk up to me and say "look at all that hair!" I know people were just trying to be nice but when you hear it a million times a day, it gets old. I started saying "yes, I've seen it." They would also run their hands over her head-complete strangers touching my baby's head!! By the end of the day her beautiful, fluffy hair was all matted down and oily from people's greasy hands!

Yeah, I hate it when people want to touch stuff.

One time somebody tried yanking my teeth out to make sure they weren't dentures.

Another time a buddy ravaged my dorm room looking for teeth whitener.... come to find out there was a $20 bet on whether or not I used it!

He didn't find any teeth whitener, of course. He was puzzled to the contents of the first drawer he opened, however...

"....Three and a half pairs of socks, a guitar pick, the eight of diamonds, a lighter, a pair of tweezers, and.. what's this... a Rush CD case with a Toto CD inside? Sounds like a fun night..." *eye roll*

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

OK, here's another one. When people find out that I'm running a marathon-or ran a marathon, it's amazing how many people will ask "and how long is that marathon?" I reply...."the same distance as every marathon in the world.....26.2 miles." OR, people will tell me "oh, I ran a marathon once, it was a 6 mile one." I usually say, so you mean you ran a 10K? They try to tell me that no, they in fact ran a 6 mile marathon.....there is NO SUCH THING!!!

rick... my hubby is in the same boat. he now has people put money in a jar every time they "bug" him with questions! even his bosses!! it prolly wouldn't bother him so much if the same people weren't always asking him the same questions over & over... they need to write this stuff down... stop using my hubs brain as storage!! hahahaa! he uses the money to fill the beer fridge at work. for after hours. yeah... right. }:C)
