Whoa - I forgot about Burton since "Stand Tall" but he really has a unique voice. What's he up to?

He's been touring with Randy Bachman last 2 or 3 years, and they also did an album of covers together called Jukebox. And apparently he has a new solo album out this year (just found out about that, I'm gonna' have to research!), his first since 1990.

You bet! Even the Junos were good this year, actually watched the whole thing for once :) - including, of course, Triumph's induction into the Canadian Hall of Fame :)

It would have to come down to Sting, Springsteen, Schon, or Roger Waters.

I'd have to take Waters, by a thread, because he wrote the fucking Wall and The Final Cut...and just wrote an opera. The most talented musician of the latter half of the 20th century.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

You must be high, or not high enough? :P

LOL!!

I like the Rolling Stones but I don't see what's so great about Jagger when compared to so many other singers out there. I just don't. He works well for what the band does though, I'll give him that.

You're being too nice PR, he is only valued at a 4th or 5th round at best.
When in doubt, DUCK!

The fact that I witnessed a man tanked out of his mind score a 95% on "Gimme Shelter" in Rock Band last night, on hard difficulty, kind of goes to prove a point....

But I've never been wild about the Stones, either.

That is pretty much what I've done every night since Thursday. I am hopeless at drums and bass, but wicked on guitar and vox.
I am loving the Fender Strat controller, I like it better than the GH3 Les Paul. I do have to say the song selection kinda sucks.

Have you figured out how to unlock all the songs yet? Or do you need to be sober for that?

I think you might need to be sober to unlock all the songs. And drumming definitely takes some practice - I get thrown off when they add in the bass drum to all the other drums. Of course throw in some beers and everything just sounds ridiculous.

I hate the bass drum!!! My leg gets crampy quick... we started playing and have unlocked a lot, but no where near half.
You have to try this, get your group drunk or blazed, and get to playing one of the "Impossible" songs, like the Deep Purple one.
It's like seeing a bad wreck on the highway... debris and carnage everywhere. One of my friends was drumming and the stick actually flew across the room and hit one of the dogs. Utterly impossible for any normal human to hit anything quicker than 1/8th notes on that damn thing. :P

Another thing, if you're drumming or doing vox, when the guitarist isn't looking, change his controller to "lefty mode".

Yeah, you need to be sober!! It's a pretty long involved process to unlock them from what I have seen. Of course unlocking them, you are not really playing the game, only having fun with the songs.

I spent 30 minutes tonight changing clothes/hair/tattoos, etc.
We have one band, "HOLESALE" that we do by the book and we've gone pretty far in a few days.
One, "RIMBUSH", is for screwing around with the songs. None of our characters have real names either, it's all crap like "Satchella", "Taintastic Jizzl", "Hotsnake", "Dirty Vag", and "Lava Dump".

We're forming a new band as soon as my friend's brother gets back from vacation. It'll be called "Cutting Brownies". Since I made brownies last night and told everyone in the garage I was going to go cut the brownies and my buddy thought that meant take a crap... maybe I should name one of the new members "Skankzilla" or "Cap'n Grab Ass" or "Cougar".

Someone should actually stock a draft with musicians (30 guitarists, 30 vocalists, etc.) , pick a draft order, and then conduct the draft to see who ends up with the most interesting band. A poll could decide the winner. I'm sure Drew would donate a free MR-X membership as the prize.

Wilton of Queensryche? He plays lead & rhythm guitar, not bass.

If that's the case, you wouldn't be able to choose him, either. Blues players, including Muddy Waters, are famous for stealing their licks from other players.

Who the fuck are you to say who can or can't be drafted? :P If she wants to draft "Kinkade" from The fucking Partridge Family in the 3rd round to drive her band's tour bus, well then dammit, she can!!!

  Wait, I thought you agreed to take Kinkade and Micky Dolenz in a trade & I get your first and second rounds in whatever event Prog dreams up next.

Actually, I think Dave got me on blues being by definition derivative, much as I hate to concede a point to an evil conservative. :D
