You get short-handed tally with 19 seconds left in a period, that usually is a momentum booster that lasts the rest of the game and the Flyers STILL lost.

Crosby gets jammed out of a goal and doesn't even bitch about it...NO confidence crisis at all on the Pitt side.

No no no, I'm not talking about Kate I'm talking about the REAL (and proverbial, oddly enough) Fat Lady who belts it out when the shit is OVER.

HOWEVER: Flyers win tonight and all bets are off again, baby!!!!

Just sayin....

You couldn't be further removed from the truth. Cole is a die hard Maple Leaf supporter through and through. Always has been (he works almost exclusively on Leafs games for the CBC). The pro-Leafs CBC prides itself on hating the Habs, the province of Quebec, and French Canadians in general. For example, they'll show Leafs' early (7 pm est) games Saturday on Hockey Night In Canada well over 50% of the time when they have the option to show Habs or Sens games as well, EVEN ON the Montreal TV affiliate where the game should not be blacked-out because the Habs sell out every game.

Delayed reaction, eh?

Well, if you listened to the broadcast from that night, you could hear the heightened excitement when Montreal scored and the utter disappointment in his voice when the Flyers scored. It was so obvious.

I don’t know, nor do I care what his affiliation is. He needs to retire.

??????
Did you even watch the game on the CBC?
It was just the opposite...even the morning DJs on Montreal's sports radio network (TEAM 990) have a ongoing inside joke about the happy tone in Cole's voice on several occasions when calling Philly's goals.

"Some Anglos in Quebec say they're choosing RDS over the CBC's English coverage, and many believe the public broadcaster should stick to what it knows best - Toronto.
"The announcers are better, they're not as biased and they don't care who's winning - they tell it as it is," Pat Wychocki said of RDS, which broadcasts every Canadiens game to 2.1 million subscribers in Quebec...
He said the CBC team doesn't have the same inside knowledge of the Habs, especially veteran broadcaster Bob Cole."

I'm not here to bash the Flyers. I think they've done an extremely good job after making the long overdue move of shit-canning Bobby Clarke. That the organization has a bright future in such a short time (worst to one of the top-2 teams in the East) is astonishing to me.

I did not watch the game on CBC, but the NHL network replayed all of the goals on NHL On The Fly: Final - Playoff Edition. It was beyond obvious to me and all the folks I was watching with.

I don't know what the Flyers are going to do tonight, but they better bring more than they showed in games 1and 2. I don't think the Pens even played that well, and they still seemed to shut us down.

Big game tonight!

Shit dude,
your Flyers were 1-2 good bounces away from
stealing both those games.
Don't sell yourselves short.
I agree that the Pens haven't brought their
"A-Game" to this series yet. That's gotta be
scary for a Flyers team minus their top-2-defensemen tonight...

Game On!!!

I watched game 2 of that series. I don't know if they both had off nights or what but I was underwhelmed by both of the Eastern finalists. I don't mean any disrespect here, but I think the Wings will steamroll either of them, with maybe a bit more resistance from the Pens. :D

Well, game 3 of the Eastern Conf Finals
is in the books and, once again, the Mighty Penguins
were just too much for the Flyers to handle...
Just like Dallas, the Flyers don't have a chance if they
can't break 20 on the shot count.

And for you non-believers, I wouldn't bet
on the Wings rolling over The Pens...
The Mighty Pens are just as fast, just as skilled
(if not more so), their young goaltender is hot and they
are playing some VERY stingey defense...

You have some high heated hopes I'd say Sir.

Sorry, Moon-Diggity.
I know you set your heart on the Wings
once your Habs got ousted but don't get too confident.

I can't say 100% that the Pens will win that series but I
will say this: The Winner of a Cup Final between the Wings
and Pens will have to do it in at least 6 games, if not all 7

I'll tell you what, the Penguins are putting on a defensive clinic. I tip my hat to them. I wouldn't get too over confident if I were the Red Wings. They could end up in the same boat as the Flyers.

Yes, the real Flyers finally showed up. I don't know if congrats are in order yet, though. Pittsburgh is so damn tough.

In 1942, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4 games to 3 after trailing the series 3-0.

33 years later…

The 1975 New York Islanders trailed the Pittsburgh Penguins 3 games to none, only to come back and win the series 4-3.

33 years later…

The 2008 Dallas Stars and Philadelphia Flyers trailed 3-0…

Hmmmmm
