How could I have not listened to these bands before

The bands in question - Spirit, Spooky Tooth, Savoy Brown and Wishbone Ash.

I've known Spirit and Spooky Tooth via "I Got A Line On You" and "Better By You, Better Than Me" respectively, but never bought or listened to any of them before. Then one night for no reason I downloaded 3 Spirit albums (2 boots and one legit), one official album by Spooky Tooth and Wishbone Ash each and 10 songs from Savoy Brown.

I've listened to all of them, and I am left with the thought "How could I have not listened to these bands before." I consider myself a pretty open minded person when it comes to music and try anything at least once, but I never did these bands, even though I've known about them.

Anyway, just had to get that off of my chest, I'm killing time at work until I leave for the Motor City Comic Con.

PS ~ Can any body recommend any other bands along the same lines?

I would suggest these for Spirit: The Family That Plays Together and Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus.. My husband was a big Wishbone Ash back in the day, the only CD we have is Live Dates, which is great. I like this band called Left Banke (Walk Away Renee, Pretty Ballerina) but it's hard to find anything by them that is not pricey, although I streamlined some of their stuff on yahoomusic, but you couldn't buy it. The Vanilla Fudge has alot of great stuff too.
