I'm thinking it's going to be bigger than one of the late night talk shows since it's on a Sunday. But I'm at a loss for what it could be.

While I totally agree that it probably will be the MTV movie awards, I am going to take a shot in the dark and say it could be that they will be on one of the two Sunday morning editions of The Today Show or Good Morning America. They both have their summer concerts going on right now, and while they usually are on Fridays, sometimes they do weekend ones.

I saw that Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls are already announced as performing at these awards. Is Journey going to join them? It would be great exposure. Coldplay's playing their lead single from their upcoming album...

Close. But they aren't actually "playing" anywhere that day.
Jon Cain (closet Nascar fan) will actually be driving one of the cars as a "celebrity guest driver" in an exhibition race before the big race. 8)
