Interesting theory. I think that might ring true.

Why on earth do you suppose they would have been patient with Perry?

P.S. I am still pissed there was no TBF tour...they would have headlined a stadium tour off that initial momentum...
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Correct yourself kindly Saint John......"YOU" don't care to see the likes of em.

"Nobody" meaning in any sort of quantity that would allow them to survive as a band. Mark my words...they go nowhere. They sell a few thousand albums and fill a few rows of seats with super-sized women and are off the radar in a few months.

Here's one super-sized woman making her reservation!

If you think that Soto or Martin are even in the same league as Timberlake or Spears you're fucking high. They're world famous superstars and Jeff and Eric simply aren't.

Justin Timberlake is pretty talented, AND he's funny and can act, so his career should be longstanding. Spears....long gone. I have music by both of them. Neither of them is as good as JSS or EM, but they are/were the right age at the right time and even Spears did some fun tunes ("Toxic").

JSS and EM are mature, grown men who have been around the block a few times and have used their talents to make a living in a very difficult business. They did it by perseverance and ability, not by being MTV darlings.

My point: just because you are a famous "superstar" does not mean you are "all that". Frankly, at my age, I prefer the small venue, great music artists to the large arena rock superstar hoopla. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! Literally!

They didnt. I t was Steve A ,Coolest guy you could meet . He got me any many others {maybe veterans on this board who wont admit it} into Journey again. He will do fine and I will support him. It will be interersting to see what happens to Journey 8 years from now. { if there is a Journey} That is how long Steve A toughed it out with the band .He deserves much more credit than he recieved

Could not have said it better Steve, could not agree more.

another good point.
there was no reason to tour in 03, 04 and 06 except the obvious; $$$$$$$
