Selling bootlegs is sleazy and wrong. Surely someone has it for free? I thought I did but I can't find it.

I myself have paid plenty for bootlegs, Sarah. It's the only way to acquire a few titles in the beginning to do trading. Then, pretty soon, I built up a big collection. Since this title is so rare, I doubt anyone has something this guy wants. It's all supply and demand.

I have a ton of footage, and I haven't paid a cent for it. Sorry you had to.

That's the problem I faced when trading with OnAJurney a loooooong time I ago. I did manage to have something that this dude didn't have once and received the 6/14/81 Angels Camp, CA audio (Cain's 3rd show) he had remastered himself. The guy has ALOT!

While I agree with you Sarah, there are times when an exception must be made, since I haven't seen this video offered for free during my travels thru the internet. :D

This is true. While you can probably find a ton of the stuff for free (especially nowdays with the advent of YouTube and all the various upload sites), there is probably a good 5% of audio/video that are just too rare to give away. As I mentioned above, usually the people that have those ultra rares already have everything you have to offer in a trade.

I emailed this guy through his You Tube contact info and he says he doesn't have the Angels Camp show, that it's very rare and no one has it! I offered him $20 for the 82 DOTG and he said not enough. I then offered $30 and he hasn't responded. Sheesh!

Update: This guy is somewhat of a dick. He asked me to make him an offer, so I did. He said not enough, so I offered ten more - $30. Then he responded referring me to a couple of guys who only have eight songs and not so great quality, but they will likely take $20 for it. I hate people who dick around like this. If you have a $ amount in mind, fucking spit it out. Don't play these stupid games.

WTF? So how come I am listening to 6/14/81 right now? Here is some artwork for it as well:

http://www.geocities.com/pamg22/mtnaire81.html

I was partially involved the creation of this site with a couple other guys VERY, VERY early on. As it mentions, there was a bit of confusion over the ACTUAL date, but I think we decided this show was the last show of the three dates at Angels Camp.

I have this on VHS tape. If someone has the VHS to DVD recorder let me know. They can have the tape and make copies for everyone. I'd just like my tape back and one on DVD too.

OnaJurny says not for sale for cash, but will trade for something he doesn't have. He then provided a 3 screen full list of all the great shows he has. Show off!

One would assume when someone says "make me an offer" that would involve cash. Whatever. This is the first asshole I've encountered when it comes to Journey stuff.

That is a definite problem, since he really does have every SINGLE thing that is out there that involves Perry. Like I mentioned, only ONCE have I had anything he doesn't have, or it may have possibly been an upgrade to something he DID already have. VERY frustrating!

When I first got into Journey (only a few years ago), I picked and chose a whole bunch of dvd's and cd's and paid this guy $10-$20 a piece for them. This gave me some stuff to trade with other fans. He was really very nice and fair -- not like this OnaJurny fellow.

I wasn't kidding about the Kleenex :D

Not from my personal collection; I was just blown away by the clip that started this thread and dug around till I found these (researcher by profession  ). That's it for freely available on the net, as far as I can tell.

I want in on the VHS  DVD project and am happy to contribute toward costs.

I have seen these same clips on youtube, Linda. They were very poor quality. If the poster that offered to share her tape has the full concert in this good a quality (as you posted), we have just hit the jackpot! As the opening poster said, this is the ESCAPE era -- the band at its peak best.

I have come accross this onajourney fella before.
No matter how much $ you offer, its ALWAYS a no.
I suspect that this prick ONLY has CLIPS, and nothing else from DOTG.

I firmly believe that he does NOT have what he says he has.
There are so many rarities out there for free if you look hard enough.

The Angels Camp show, as mentioned earlier, is not as rare as you may think it is. Do NOT buy it.

Have you guys never heard of G101, and sites like that? Oh and who can forget Arrive Alive, where you will find litterally hundreds of Journey rarities. Its all out there for free.

I've been to arrive alive a couple of times and registered , every time i did that they said i was banned. I just registered today and I've been waiting all day cuz it says a moderator is looking over my profile, then they will accept me. So I don't knowwhat I have to do to get in that website. And OnaJurny has taken off day on the green off of youtube because someone has complained to him for only putting up clips. so i sent him a message asking for a price... Before I came here and found out he was a total jerk, so I am not gonna ask him for anything anymore. It sucks cuz it seems like he has so much but is unwilling to share unless you give him your firstborn.
