FINALLY!
The real Pens showed up last night and what a game it was!
Crosby found the net, Malkin found his legs, Orpik, Whitney, Gonchar
and Roberts were cracking skulls...
Fluery made same crazy saves!
But I'm not just excited because the Pens won.

I am excited because last night's game was the type
of game most were hoping to see the entire series!!!

Win or Lose, if the rest of the games can be this good,
I'll be one happy-ass Hockey fan

Congrats Carlitto, YoungJRNY and all Penguins fans.

I was cleaning my cousins house and missed the first two periods
but caught the last one and really thought The Wings were gonna
tie it up and bring it into overtime.

Thanks Moon and MG. Much appreciated but it won't go to our heads! ;-).

H@kk,You could just see the tides turning as the game went on. That first period looked like more of the same and got the notion of "Fuck, here we go again.."

Those mighty Penguins came back out the 2nd period like men possessed. I don't know what happened in that locker room. Some kind of voo-doo? Or was it simply just Fluery ball-tapping the whole team until it was time to go back out on the ice? Whatever it was...it worked.

This was the way I expected the Pens to open the gates...not that SLOP we call the first 2 games of the series. The only thing that pisses me off is now that we have momentum, they have 3 days off. Could be a momentum killer but lucky for us, we will be fired up along with the fans come Saturday, and we all know how the Pens prey off of it at home.

For the record...Even though Malone hustles..I think he sucks big balls. He whiffs on every setup thrown at him. Also, Whitney has been doing the back-peddle often and it's starting to make me think he's a sissy. Other than that...UNBELIEVABLE Game 3 and here's to hopin' they will keep it up! :P

My Wings in 5 prediction figured a loss in game 3 due to the home crowd hype.
I'd like to note the games at the Joe were not even competetive, while the game in Pittsburgh was close to going to OT.
I didn't get to watch it, but followed on CBSSportsline's gamecast. Looked like Fleury stole a game for the Pens.
Pretty much what I expected. Wings should take the game Saturday, I predict a 4-1 win for the Wings. :D

The ONLY reason game 3 almost went into
OT was because of the COMPLETE HORSESHIT
penalty called on Malkin late in the 3rd.
Got called for hooking when, in reality,
his stick was held to a Wings player's waist as the
Oscar-worthy Wing was falling to the ground!

And that last "hit" Gill put on Holmstrom,
sending him sliding on his back into the Pens's net,
was nothing more than Holmstrom trying to take a run at
Gill, missing the hit and falling on his own ass.
I think the refs woulda got mobbed if they woulda
called Gill for a 3rd penalty on Holmstrom...

Now, I am not saying the Wings aren't a GREAT team and
I KNOW the Pens have a HUGE Mountain to climb but
the Wings resorted to some really good acting in game 3.

 Wings wrap her up Monday night at approx. 11pm. Sorry Stu, Monday night will conclude a pretty one-sided Finals. I say one-sided because the Penguins only put up a fight in 2 home games. I see a 4-1 win in the finale Monday.

Stuck at work. I'm working 12 hours today and tomorrow so I can have Wed-Friday off. I'm taking the family up to Traverse City for a get-away.
I'm gonna have the wife record it on my dvr harddrive so I can watch it when I get home and record it to dvd (like all the other Stanley Cup games since '97) :D
I'm gonna keep close tabs to the cbssportsline gamecast here at work though. :D

Not so fast.. WE DON'T BACK DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT! If it is ours to lose, then Wings Fans better be ready for a juicy conclusion. If not, then expect us to steal one and be on the verge of tying a lost series up in Pittsburgh. Who knows, it could be anyone's game if it reaches that point in time.

Regardless, I'm ready for the worst outcome possible. The only thing left to say is... Bring it on 8)

If your teams output equals what we saw in games 1 & 2 at the Joe, forgive me if I'm not overly concerned. Not much fight in your dog when he's off your porch.
I expect the Wings to play their best game of the series tonight.
Bring it on?????? Don't worry, it's coming! :D

Can the Pens steal a win at The Joe?

Can they get more than 22 shots on goal?

Will the REAL Malkin please stand up?

Will SOMEONE be able to keep The Mule or
Holmstrum out of Fluery's face w/o drawing a penalty???

Will Pittsburgh's Power Outage, er, Power Play FINALLY
make a difference???

We'll find out tonight, Pens Fans!!!

Um, not unless they can figure out a way to keep half the Wings from making it to the arena.

Doesn't matter, if Franzen or Holmstrom aren't there to screen Fleury. I'm sure Gonchar will be able to do it. What a dumbass that guy is.

I don't think the power play is that big of a problem for Pittsburgh. 5 on 5 they are getting manhandled.

Well gee, thanks for clearing all that up for me

BTW, Gonchar has been playing Norris-Trophy hockey througout
the entire post-season. Sure, he's no Lindstrom but who is?
And the Power Outage is a problem because it has been so lethal
all year. One good start in the right direction would be to take
Malkin off the point, put him back on the right wing where he
is comfortable and see what happens.

That 5-on-3 power play kill by the Wings sealed Pittsburgh's fate, I think. As much of a Wings fan as I am, I couldn't believe the Pens couldn't convert on that. That was either Herculean defense by the Wings or a total, massive fail by Pittsburgh.

The Wings PK units caused the Penguins PP failure. Don't see what's so difficult to understand.

The Wings PP defense was awesome, but I still couldn't believe it. I mean, that was a golden opportunity for the Pens if there ever was one.

This game is over...the Wings showed they are the best in NHL period...the Pens are just too young...and don't have that killer instinct yet...they went up 2-0 in this game and instead of trying to pile it on they tried to sit back and play D...they aren't taking it to the net...they are turning it over way to much...and the Wings have taken advantage of that all series long.

Congrats to the Wings...they have played masterfully...and deserve the Cup...
