Some of that raw emotion is missing here.

Agree.
Augeri's was aggressive, confident, urgent, loud and in your face.

However, that's no slur on Pineda because in my book FITH and TPIYH are the 2 strongest vocals Augeri ever laid down so it's difficult to measure up.

The pace on the new Faith in the Heartland is certainly more considered. It almost feels like a completely different song. Both are great though.

Too bad it took them so long to write songs to his strengths.

Agreed, and I also want to mention that it baffles me how people compare AATY to Faithfully, because it has that same problem.

In my opinion After All These Years is a superior song to Faithfully (its like comparing Stilton to Cheddar though)! I have no problems at all with the 'emotion' in Arnel's vocal performance. In fact the whole of Revelation is a vocal tour de force for the little guy. In the words of Yoda - a croaky voice does not always emotion make!

To me, every tracks on Generation feature great vocal by Augeri. The idea of each members singing a song is what really sunk the album.

I will maybe surprise some people, but I don't think that Arnel his at his best on Revelation. Yes he is an overall better singer than Augeri, but he doesn't shine like he should. His performance on FITH is a good exemple.

If nothing else we can hope that this brings Augeri a little cash since he's a co-writer on the song. 500k units is certainly more then what Generations sold.

I absolutely love both songs, but Faithfully is one of the greatest ballads of all-time. Advantage, Faithfully.
