I just listened to it. Not bad. Arnel has a good voice on this. But I still won't buy the package. :D

You're welcome! And thanks for the compliment! I do wish sometimes I look like that!

I had a good day, and just wanted to spread it around. Got paid, did the bills and shopping ( now the money is gone! ). Got a shock at the gas pump! I got to download episode 8 (which hasn't aired yet here!) of Dr. Who, then received the European Bonus track. :D

Loving the lyrics! Not to mention the tune!

Records sold in 33's and 45's.
Couldn't wait to hold the album in my hand
Before Email and the Internet
How I stood in line
To buy tickets just to see my favorite band

Let it take you to back
To simple place in time
Where the melody reminds you
Of love you left behind
Let the music move you
till you feel like getting go
like a postcard from the past
let it take you back

Arnel really sounds even more unique this time around. Heck the whole band sounds they've really got things down pat.

First impression - Boring. Hokey lyrics, no hook. I see why it wasn't on the U.S. release.

It's gotta be better than "Pride of the Family."
Somebody throw it on YouTube.

Not available on the USA side. Nothing from Revelation is there yet.

But I did find this little known rarity.

It the new improved "Every Generation". Cain's not trying to sneak into lead singer role this time.

With Arnel its listenable.

Hey, "let it take you back". Back to what? Generations? Uh, no thanks.

Anyone know the track listing for the European version of Revelations? I need to know where to put the bonus track in iTunes. Did they just tack it on at the end?

That's what I did. It really is "just an extra" so I don't want it in the middle of the good stuff. Number it 12 and call it done.

Exactly my problem with a lot of Journey's recent output.

How hard is it to throw a damn hook in there and stop writing about families and/or reminiscing about the past?

Actually, writing a good hook is, in my opinion, the crowning achievement of any musician. If it was easy, everyone could do it and there'd be no bad songs. (I realize this is subjective.)

This is Journey, though...c'mon, make it listenable.

Thanks to everyone who went to the trouble of bringing us this track. I'm glad we got the chance to give our opinon on it. :)

Had a cool opening but I quickly realized it was a Bad English track through and through. I mean really, I could totally hear John Waite on this.

Why is a Bad English reference a surprise. Much of Bad English was written by Cain/Schon...so is this. So is a lot of Arrival...and you can hear Bad English sounding songs on there as well.

What you pointed out has been my issue with post Perry Journey ever since Arrival. I didn't say it was a surprise. It's a let down IMO. Bad English never rose to the quality of Journey. The band that made this song is called Journey so I hold them to that standard.

I think it's one of the better tracks on the album. Not remotely original but equally it doesn't sound like a pastiche of the classic Journey era. Yes...maybe more of a Bad English/John Waite tune...
